@arronnov Aren't we forgetting something. The dreams Anakin had may have been influenced possibly by Sidious (Palpatine) to stoke Anakin's fears on top of giving him a position in the Jedi Council. That guy was making sure Anakin was still in his hands. And like the other guy said, Palpatine would eventually sensed Anakin and acquire him before the Jedi did in the scenario if Qui-Gon didn't get to him first. And I'd rather not easily look past the decisions the Jedi made that caused them to lead to their own demise.

The Jedi code is problematic because it calls for a rejection of human nature and, ironically (given Obi-Wan's words), preaches absolutes. The Jedi were all down with the Chosen One prophecy, until they learned it was a 9 year old kid born of a virgin through the Force itself, with serious abandonment issues which in turn made him unstable. I always thought he was a special kind of dick. He was also the most arrogant of all the members of the Jedi Council. When Ashoka was cleared and he realize the council was wrong and what he said to Ashoka was bs. Like promoting her to Jedi Knight makes everything they did okay. They didn't even try and just apologize and admit they where wrong. Then when she was talking to council on hologram and Mace called her citizen and that info they had was for Jedi made him even more of a dick. She left because of the order. Yes because like Anakin, Windu also had a temper and so he channeled it into forms of fighting that combined some dark side abilities with a light side fighting technique. He walked the thin line and trained himself with discipline, something obi-wan never did with Anakin. Anakin became a free spirit like obi-wan and his anger doubled with that made him dangerous. You know what they say though, "the child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth."

Mace would have been able to teach Anakin how to control his dark side tendencies. That’s why Anakin found so much solace in Palpatine. As much of a badass as Obi Wan was, he was ill-suited to be a teacher and mentor to Anakin. Remember, he was still learning when Qui Gonn was killed.

Anakin's personal connection made him unsuitable for the position to begin with. If he thought him so unsuited WHY DID HE SEND HIM TO DO IT? Why did he not remove him from the position and use someone else to spy on him? Its like "Oh I'm going to send this boy who's really close the Chancellor to spy on him, and then say that we can't trust him because he's too personally connected". Stupid. Illogical. Also, if Windu had more rectal fortitude he would have refused to allow Anakin to sit on the council anyway. It was basically a given that only Masters could do so. The position went with the seat. Tango Fett He’s literally the worst Jedi. He strictly followed the Jedi Code and treated Anakin like a piece of shit. And he told Ahsoka that “this was actually your great trial” instead of owning up to his mistake like Plo Koon did (Plo’s one of my favorite Jedi because he actually APOLOGIZED to Ahsoka and recognized the mistake the Council made). He also called Ahsoka a “citizen” at the end of the war, told Anakin “if what you’ve told me is true, then you will have gained my trust”. Like, dude. Anakin fought in a lot of battles and rescued countless innocent lives. And only now, you start to trust him? I don’t blame Anakin for chopping your hand off. He also told Padmé that it wasn’t Dooku’s character to be behind the attacks even though when Dooku left the Order, he could’ve potentially fallen to the Dark Side (and he did). I get why they didn’t want to train Anakin as he was “too old” but they didn’t have to ALIENATE him from the rest of the Jedi. Also, Luke was 22 when he trained with Yoda and he turned out fine (not counting the sequel trilogy as I don’t see them as being Canon).

He values discipline, and in fact had an attachment to the republic itself. Anakin is the epitome of a flawed jedi, you need to want to be better but Anakin never wanted to forego attachments to individuals, so he was always prime for manipulation, lashing out with emotions and selfish pride.

Question. Why didn't anyone from the order free Anakin's mother? Literally the one thing that had the biggest impact on his turn. When you and the other members met Skywalker, you knew the well being of his mother had some affects on the boy. Why not after accepting him into the order was she not, at the very least, freed? The first sign of Anakin's turn was her death, yet it easily could have been avoided....

Mace windu was a hypocritical Moron he he'd trusted Anakin then none of that shit in the Chancellor's office would have happend. while Palpatine was an manipulative asswipe he was 100% right in saying that the Jedi are taking over. Mace himself even outright states that when they remove the Chancellor from office that the Jedi would need to take control of the Senate until a new chancellor was elected but let's be real they would have never gave up that power.

Guess it all depends on if you think Skywalker could have bested the Emperor in a duel. Given how hard of a time Anakin had with Dooku, and how easily Sideous batted around Maul and his brother... I don’t think it would have made a difference. Personally, I think Sideous was toying with Windu, knowing Anakin would come. Had Skywalker been there from the beginning, my bet is Palpatine would have written him off as a loss of an apprentice, and killed them all. Just my thoughts.
