Star Wars blasters are plasma weapons though. Not lasers (assuming the lasgun is actually a laser weapon which seems inconsistent in the lore).

While I do like the idea of a WH40K unit going ham on some Star Wars faction in melee combat Ryan Wright, the game that our KZfaqr here is using (with mods of course) is a bit restricting in some cases. You would have to have fully dedicated melee soldiers to do that, like the thunder hammer Terminators and the like.

That’s honestly what I was thinking. If I were the Astartes in that armor, I’d probably strategize to take out as many clumps of the enemy as possible in order for the effects of their combined energy blasts to overheat my armor. It may not break through the armor, but thermodynamics are nothing to laugh at.

I mean, one is an advanced civilization wearing armor that is effective against slugs and with portable energy weapons that size vs a society that no longer advances and is using retrofitted mining equipment. While a terminator should definitely pulp a good number of troopers; realistically with the number they have their; it's unrealistic that it isn't destroyed. That's mary sue levels of efficiency.

How powerful is a bolter, exactly? Clone trooper armor is capable of withstanding direct impacts of up to 300 megajoules, or concussive forces of several tons of TNT equivalent.

@@swehumorofficial dude, we’ve seen these guys get hurt from some random flying debris. Bolters are highly advanced rifles with their own blessed sort of “machine spirit” that enhances the weapon, and shoots a 75 caliber bullet, that is launched with powder and then has a thruster which continues to propel the projectile even faster, with a highly effective armor piercing tip which burrows it into even the armor of heavy vehicles and after a short timer goes off the entire thing blows up like a grenade. Even if it didn’t blow up in the clone, the hole it tore through one would rip them apart.

A clone may survive when hit in the limb. The bolter bullet would pass through the limb, likely ripping it off, giving a clone a severe, but still non-lethal wound (remember that clones are of mandalorian gene and similar training regime, and as such they likely wouldn't die of shock)

@@purpur5 if they carterized and or bandaged the wound and gave proper medical treatment, they might survive, but a one armed soldier is just a burden. Also, the bolt would most likely detonate just after leaving the arm if not in it and blow an extra chunk out of their shoulder. Also, if they get hit in the leg then it’s just even worse. And if it does pass through, then it might just hit another guy behind him and blow that sorry sob tf up. I just don’t see the poor clones winning here 😂 and no I’m not being toxic, I just acknowledge the fact that warhammer has far superior technology and armaments compared to Star Wars, espeacially when it comes to ground troops.

I agree. Maybe have them on a wider front. This prevents the over penetration of the Astartes rounds and maximizing the clones overlapping fields of fire. The slower target acquisition/destruction of the astartes will be its weakness

Important? Yes. But 100 plasma base rifles should still have beaten a solo ceramite armored Astartes. Especially since their armor is especially good (in lore) to the kinds of ammo a bolter or assault cannon fires. I mean they are going to bleed for the win; especially when hugging each other. But their weapons in those numbers should be effective. Even if the Terminator kills half of them.

Modded MOW is definitely not accurate when it comes to how strong characters are and how they fight.

Bolt rounds are designed to punch into the target and explode, they don't over penetrate, shoot through or do area damage - they're precision weapons for use in space ships and around vital equipment that they don't want to damage. So it should be One Shot, One kill.

Except the Star Wars universe mostly uses plasma weapons; which are effective against ceramite. Additionally, trooper armor is designed to be effective against shrapnel, slugs, and explosive pressure. The Termi is still going to rip through a number of them. But this is pretty inaccurate to the different forces strengths. To the point of a blank fighting a force sensitive and their ability having an effect (like the assassins who are blanks could probably still kill a few Jedi; but their blankness shouldn't nullify force powers like it does warp ones).

@@malcire no, heat weapons are not especially effective against ceramite. Maybe you're thinking of flack armor. Stormtrooper armor can be designed against a lot of things, but the performance is quite clear. Against the Care Bears of Endor, it was absolutely useless. Against a Blastech DL-44 heavy blaster pistol, it was useless. Against all blaster pistols, it was useless. As for a terminator, they shouldn't have been able to do anything against it. An assault canon is not just a minigun, but a bolter, and as such, loaded with explosive rounds. Like the simulation showed, they should've been blasted to pieces, and when you're talking about something firing that fast, it should've wiped them out, pretty quickly. Also, let's take into consideration the legendary lack of bravery of the Stormtrooper, which is the polar opposite of the Astra Militarum, with, or with, a commissar. Fighting Jedi? I think Blakns would be completely effective against them, as there is no reason to believe Force powers are NOT from the Warp. Just because they don't know about the concept, doesn't mean it's not in effect.

Blasters aren't lasers. They are plasma weapons. It's why lightsabers can deflect them.

@@meager992 That's not really how it works. 40k plasma weapons are basically anti vehicle weapons they unleash massive amounts of energy. Blasters on the other hand are much weaker in comparison and have a comparable level of power to a lasrifle. A blaster can not one shot a marine.

It really doesn't help that they keep putting all the clones in a tight packed area so the AoE weapons of the Marine can wipe out massive groups at once. Every fight once missiles are introduced, the contest becomes laughable. If you actually want to see how many it handles before dying, don't give the Marine a terrain advantage.

Not really, I think. A Blank just severs your connection to the Immaterium, which all humans innately possess. Psykers just have a stronger connection that allows them to do their thing. The Midi-Chloreans in a Jedi's body are very much from real space, so I'd hazard a guess and say that the Blank gene wouldn't do shit against them.

Shouldn't effect them. Blanks absorb warp shenanigans. The force is part of the material universe. Though lightsabers can't block physical rounds (they can block blaster bolts because both are charged plasma).
