this exactly, they're fundamentally goods being sold for different reasons. it's not like in-game vendors are trying to make money off a brand like TPC is, they probably don't sell things with ridiculous markups just bc it's pokemon and they know you'll buy it. i think a better real life equivalent might be throwing a plush keychain at an animal to distract it and then booking it

Macca is a fun currency, since it was made by Lucifuge and can be a energy source. Demons either want it or need it to either be able to barter with other demons or to stay outside of makai. The humans use it primarily because it is the main way of bartering with demons, demons won't accept yen, as for humans buying things from other humans I think the price is more likely to be inflated due to the post-apocalyptical state of things, either you buy what you need or make what you need yourself, and again, macca is the main way of bartering with demons, without it you can't barter with them, and the state of things are that almost everyone needs demons to protect themselves from, well, other demons. But of course the shops would need to sell and get a good amount of macca to pass for each organization they are from, else they wouldn't be selling anything and would keep their equipment solely for their members, so they wouldn't be able to be overly unreasonable with the prices.

So yes “Hispanic” refers to Spaniards because it refers to Spain. It predates the discovery of America. The distinction you are creating is due to an American perspective rather then what the terms mean

Language is what the masses decide for it to be. The way in which you're saying it should be used isn't a way it has been used for since before colonialization. You are right about what you say but language is a thing constantly in flux. But spaniards do not refer to themselves as hispanics or latinos outside of internal jokes, and havent for several centuries. I say as a spaniard, with friends and family from the place.
