How many tries does it take to start the Ghostbusters Ecto 1???

No, it's really weird how my system is wired up that when I turn the car off it makes the noise. I'm not sure how it happened, but it doesn't but me enough to figure out the cause and prevent it from happening.

I bet this was what happened every time that Ray and Winston tried to start it before they went to those birthday parties in the 2nd film. P.S., did you ever have a mechanic look at it?

Might be time to upgrade to a Holley EFI setup! Might get you a few more mpgs out of the old girl😄

Seems like a fuel delivery issue, are you running non ethanol, the older carb engines start better on the non ethanol at least that's been my experience.

I rebuilt the mechanical fuel pump to handle E10, and bought a new Edelbrock performer carb after 3 rebuilds of the original Rochester didn't work. That day was an off day for the old gal for some reason. Haven't had this much trouble since then.
