Had a lenovo T460 for years that never wanted to give me 3v/5v on the coils.Never understood why.Ordered replacement IC chips which are on the way and just finished looking at this video and as you explained the enable signals come from the Super IO. and my both enable signals are missing.This is one of the best and most helpful video my friend keep up the good work.Will try to replace the SuperIO and cross my fingers.Thanks

Thank you it was helpful for me too, this was a switching power or voltage regulator actually if I'm not wrong? If you could make a video about a linear voltage regulator (LDOs) it would be nice :)
@FixTronics2 жыл бұрын
U R welcome brother I already talked about LDO regulators at this link: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mNKjaLF_u9rViX0.html

why do is it to use PWM? to control both mosfet, so why don't we use one mosfet to get 1.5 volt. is it not possible?
@FixTronics8 ай бұрын
It is possible which in this case is called linear regulator whereas the one used is called buck regulator.. The linear regulators convert the (19v) to a lower voltage (let's say 1.8v) by dissipating the (17.2v) into heat and this is not efficient at all when it comes to a battery powered appliances. The Buck regulators switch the input voltage (19v) ON and OFF rapidly using Mosfets to regulate the voltage. This type is High efficiency, reduce power dissipation and suitable for applications where power efficiency is crucial.
