If this youtube thing doesn't workout, you could be a legit used car salesman. People appreciate being told the truth about the car they're going to purchase(or at least I do). You'll sell this in no time.

Not necessarily true--you can take care of something to a T with the owner's manual and mfr's recommendation and still have issues. Chevy for example has had many problems in their vehicles starting about 10-12 years ago. For me I have a 2013 Silverado 1500 w/ the 5.3L. I did everything by the book (oil changes, trans fluid changes, plugs, wires, coollant, etc) and even took my truck to the dealer for all service. At 110k the oil pump was failing. Now it has a stuck lifter. I did everything right and still had a bunch of issues. And I'm not the only one--google "CHEVY 5.3L stuck lifter" on Google and you'll see what I mean. It's Known issues for this particular truck (the 2007-2013 era Silverado 1500 w/ 5.3L AFM engine). So part of it has to do with quality. The AFM was just a bad design on those era of trucks. GM, among other brands, have been going downhill over the past decade. They used to make great trucks, but they had to screw things up.

@@HR-wd6cw Yup. Engines are waaaaay too complex these days. I got stung by a Jeep that was taken care of properly. 100% my next daily driver is a Tesla. Electricity is cheaper than gas and it has like almost zero required maintenance. Tires and window washer fluid will be the first things lol. Brakes last forever due to regenerative braking. The coolant for the batter system I think lasts like 8-10 years.

The rear facing seat is not actually just a rear facing seat. It can be positioned either way (forward or backward). Handles on the back and bottom of the bench that unlocks it so it can be taken out or in this case reversed. Some of the Eddie versions of the expeditions had this also. The seat belts still work also.

What happens is similar to the missing owners manuals w many used vehicles. Peeps remove rear seat for more room. For many it isn't needed. Then either toss it or simply lose track of where it went. And the owners manuals get taken out for some read time, get misplaced n never make it back into the glove box! Amazingly this Caddy had both!👍😉

Dude. You make me nostalgic for one of my greatest scores back around 2007. It was a 1995 Galant on CL for the odd price of $280. The seller said he thought maybe the engine was locked up. I met him with cash and a tow dolly. As soon as the title was signed and in my hand we jumped the car. It fired right up and we drove it onto the dolly. Needed a battery, front brakes and two tires and I had a beater so my 2001 SVT Cobra didn't have to see bad weather ever again. Unfortunately it and the Cobra are far in my rearview mirror now.

It's amazing what cars could get a "pass" back in the day. I remember in highschool when these came out EVERYBODY wanted one, they were in music videos and Hollywood celebs bought them like crazy, nobody seemed to care about the fact that they were just GMC YUKON DENALI'S WITH CADILLAC BADGES! COMPLETELY IDENTICAL! These were more blatantly badge-engineered than the Cadillac Cimarron (Chevy Cavalier) lol. Even the 1st generation Lincoln Navigators at least had their own styling compared to the mechanically equal Ford Expeditions, but these had absolutely NO differentiation from the $5k cheaper Denali at the time. It's amazing how different things were 20 years ago.

I bought mine in 2005 I think and in 2010 I had to pay like $1100 to replace some sort of a chip in it. Other than that pricey repair it still runs just fine but we too have maintained it pretty well. The last five years I've thought about parting with it but I just can't because despite it being 20 years old, I still love driving it! My CD changers all died and the sensors on the rearview mirror. Last one was an 80s chevy car that had everything work including the freezing a.c. When i moved it to tow it. They've gotten cars where it was as simple as a broken belt or empty gas tank. The gas one 1 was funny af cuz it was a tahoe they paid 200 + 10 gas for it and got 3,000 for it by the next day.

That piece you took off the taillight was a backup beeper that used the reverse light to trigger the beeping. It might have a dead battery if it didn't beep.

Dang, that thing would sell $3-4,000 all day long here in Texas. Someone would take that to their ranch in a heartbeat.

So Lincoln had the Navigator and sold a buttload of those(I think Lincoln outsold Cadillac for a year or two because of the Navigator). Cadillac was caught with its pants down, so they stole the GMC Denali and slapped a Cadillac badge on it. At least with the 2002 redesign, they made the Escalade look unique. Still a good truck, but IMO kind of hilarious how cheesy the rebadge was.

But just over a decade before the Escalade they had the cimarron and around the mid 90's they had the catera. Basically Cadillac has a long history of this behavior.

@@earlscheib7754 Which is why they get no respect and sell like 1/3rd the number of cars compared to the 1970's.

Exactly Lincoln beat Cadillac with the Town car and Lexus beat them both in the overall market. The abysmal depreciation on domestic luxury was the death of Cadillac and Lincoln next in line is Infiniti but that's a whole nother story.

rear seat looks like an aftermarket "little people" sourced 3rd row seat. That alone is worth $328.00. I have an almost identical one in our 2000 Ford Explorer that hasn't gotten much use since the children went past 8 years old.
