The older of the two little girls looked a lot like the wife in that picture you looked at in the house. Digging for treasure is a lot of work at these kinds of sales where the house is so packed with stuff. Takes a lot of patience. Nice finds!

I have a hazel atlas ball pitcher filled with silk flowers in the center. Please tell us where to look for estate sale listings. They used to be in the newspaper. I think Estate sales are very interesting. We don't have it over here. We wouldn't let people in our houses like that. It's just a different culture We donates and such. Well Scott, you found some treasure amidst the leavings of a few generations lived in that old house. That old party game box is a rarity to find intact, and the shelf paper as well. I suspect the goofus glass plates came home from the fair, were tucked away, and never moved again. I’ve been to estate sales like this one. They are so much fun! Though, I feel they should have picked the clothes up off the floor and boxed them. I loved the shelf paper and the children’s lamps you showed from upstairs. I hope your time off was enjoyable and glad to see you back.

I have a Southwestern/Mexican themed tablecloth and napkins that my late MIL acquired in the 40s-ish - they remind me a lot of the ceramic tray you found. So great for summertime Taco Tuesdays! Love the Fox print as well as the original pastoral oil painting. The orange glass candy dish will be perfect for Halloween - full of candy corn! WOW! $55 - such a deal!
