My wife and I worked hard and saved heavy for retirement, raised 2 children. I’m pretty sure Keith and I would get on well. Do your own thing, know how to manage your finances, live within your budget, take responsibility for your own situation. Why you save a bundle is because Keith is so capable of doing most of his own repairs/ replacement, installation of many items. If an owner has to pay for these items, it would add considerably to cost of sailing. Not everyone can fix things like Keith.

Great points made in this video. Merry Christmas in the middle of the Atlantic. I’m sure Santa will find you guys. This video was extremely helpful giving me that reality of the financial costs that are on-going. Too often one assumes you buy the boat, and that’s it. The costs are just endless. Each episode Keith is fixing some major piece…none of that DIY fixes are in your numbers. The average person would be paying to have all that done, not to mention it would break out on the water… leaving everyone stranded…yours is a unique lifestyle with the balance of DIY…the right people so social circles still work… its great to watch your show, but the reality is.. you can do this, while i could never.. love the show looking forward to Season 8…be safe on the high seas… cya next week.
