Theres tons of costs asscoiated with owning a parrot and they are not cheap! you have to be financially prepared to own one, whether its your parents agree to pay or you yourself have the money. Please dont impulsively buy a bird only to say you dont have the money to get it what it deserves and needs.

I recommend looking for second hand cages. I managed to get a pretty big one in perfect condition for just 50€! The original selling price was 120-150€ depending on the retailer. Plus the previous owner included some extra perches as a gift

Luza was so funny and cute in this video, telling everyone to follow you 😂. And your Totoro plushy is so cute 🤭 Yes they get their beaks everywhere and anything, mine are destroying something in my cupboard as i speak 😅. They don't like to play with their toys they just want to play with my art supplies 😭. I am struggling to buy their pellets as they are out of stock from online and they are not available at any shop, i am still searching. But now i think i have to buy Zupreem colored ones. Other brands are just too expensive 🥲

Ahahaha thank you ☺️ Yes really theyd rather our things 😒 Mango is really good with playing with her toys but Luza 😒 Some pellet is better than no pellet. Best to get your hands on the zupreem colored one than nothing ☺️ its pellets at the end of the day

once you tackle the essentials ( cage /perches set up /bird proofing the house etc...) taking care of the bird itself isnt all that expensive ( at least compared to other pets ...dog cat food prices are no joke 💀) the big issue is the avian vet , in an ideal scenario you will only take them for an annual check up but life aint ideal and you will find yourself taking them every two months or so 😅😅 especially if they are old

I disagree with this. I spent more on food for my budgies than I do on myself cause fresh unprocessed fruits and veggies cost a fortune here. And I want my budgies to eat somewhat healthy diet.

Vet bills are definitely super expensive especially because it can be a surprise but the consistent regular costs I find expensive as well. Id say dogs and cats are expensive if people fed them proper diets such as raw meats, eggs, fruits etc

Wow very nice Mimi, I was at your Etsy shop but they ran out the last time I was there for the pop socket… going there right now My Avian vet bill was $620 and for each year checkup ( NYC ) price I find bacterial problems are most common so keeping their cage clean is very important especially when they grab the cage bars with their beaks and grab the food with their cute little foot🥰

Good video and cost breakdown! I'd just add a summary to the end that says "whats theirs is theirs, and whats yours is also theirs" In other words, whatever you own, will own, want to own, or think of owning - think of those as a potential expense as well Lol
