That is great Dave. When my son's dog was put down, my neighbor let him use his back hoe to dig the grave. It was really a good thing for him. He loved running the machine.

Awesome experience for a kid. I still remember the first time I ran a backhoe when I was young (made a mess but learned a lot).

I don't know what the rock is worth. I hope a lot, because I have two sitting in my yard. They were the cornerstones for my barn before I restored it. But stones like that are common here in New Hampshire. That was nice of you to let the young man and girl have a try at the backhoe. I have let quite a few people try mine out. Like you said; letting their inner child out.

Love it Dave! I do the same thing no matter the age. I try to get everybody on one at lest once. It's so much fun watching their faces when they get the hang of it. the rock I got no idea what it's worth in your area, here people will put them in lawns for decoration, and pay good money, in this area stone is worth more than rock though🤔🤣wife wanted to "buy" some once and I told here we live on top of a rock, That was awesome what you let your friends kid's do, they will remember that forever👍

I wouldn’t know how to value that rock Dave. But, if that guy was driving 3 hours to pick it up, it must have some pretty big value to him.

Howdy Dave, I do have to nobody needs to twist my arm to use the backhoe lol! The kid did pretty well actually, he did learn fast. We didn't get much acorns either around here in my neck of IL.

Rocks are basically free. Value is all about transportation. How much does it cost to get the rock from point "A" (where it is) to point "B" (where you want it to be.😀
