My Mom just died in my arms on August 7th 2023 only three weeks after diagnosis. Just devastating. She had lost weight and her appetite earlier in the year but we didn’t think too much of it. She was 80 and treatment probably wasn’t an option but it’s just devastating. It happened so fast and we were so close. 💔

Dear Evan, I went through the same misdiagnosis and doctors that don't recognize pancreatic cancer symptoms. I am such a patient. I was diagnosed in September of 2019. Only because I did the research myself. Loosing weight, got type 2 diabetes in July of 2019, always tired, not hungry, digestion issues, sore back between my shoulder blades. I fired my doctor and went to another doctor who scheduled a CT scan. This confirmed my theory of having pancreatic cancer. I went through 36 rounds of radical chemo drug cocktails (5 different chemo drugs + steroid) 7 operations. 1 operation is called a Whipple that took 11 hours. The survival rate at that time was

❤ This is amazing advice to help get clarity on any health issues!! ❤ My mother had severe symptoms that eventually presented as a tumour in her breast… she hated doctors and hid this from me until she couldn’t any longer. Finally got her into a hospital, they were able to remove the tumour, and she survived that operation at 81, at this point everyone thought it was breast cancer… an analysis revealed it was a very aggressive form of pancreatic cancer…. She passed 4 weeks later!! It’s been 2 years, and I’m still in shock!!!!

My husband died 25 days after being diagnosed at Stage 4, end stage pancreatic cancer, relentless pain in his trunk area-back, belly- got him to the ER, no treatment offered other than pain management. We were devastated by his passing, researching afterward -his experience was not unusual for pancreatic cancer. I hate cancer.

Sorry to hear that. Everyone needs to remember to get a second opinion and try to research as well. Same thing can happen to your pets, the vet can say everything is fine, and you trust them, then 6 months down the road or so, you have to put them to sleep. I have been telling my parents to get a second opinion and they also ask questions to my brother who does MRI's and a Radiologist, and works with Dr.'s daily.

Maria Menudos has a type of pancreatic cancer that is different from adenocarcinomas. She has the type pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor. (like Steve Jobs had). Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor is is slower growing and has a better long term survival rate. But it will get her in the end unless there is a medical research breakthrough. I extend my condolences to you. Pancreatic cancer is a beast.

This video highlights how important it is to keep going to get checked even if they try to fob you off at first. YOU know your body best and you know you need further tests. I had a CT that was clear like Maria but I’m worried that I need an MRI like she did. I have symptoms of chronic pain in upper left under my breast/rib area. Constantly tired, nausea, back pain, pain that radiates from the left round my side to my back. Pain when eating. And one blood test showed slightly raised amylase. I’m sure somethings not right with my pancreas but doctors don’t know what’s wrong. I’m guessing I should keep pushing for the MRI but if that’s clear I have no idea 🤷🏻‍♀️ RIP to your dad and thanks for the video

I took a blood cancer screening test called "galleri" and hope i dont have anything. :( I got a few of these symptoms but ct scan is fine. Idk what is going on. Im scared but i know my body and they think its stress.... I also learned that you can get a full body MRI from a company called "prenuvo" and they would catch any tiny tumor. Early stages are hard to show in a CT scan or ultrasound.... MRI and endoscopy in the pancreas is key for early detection. Advocate for yourself. Im spending my life savings and pushing to get answers and the doctor keep down playing that im too young to get cancer. I keep pushing and pushing appointment and doing all test so they can check the pancreas asap.
