I think that Percy Jackson was something that originally drew me into reading (and writing) as a whole. It’s something that was able to show me the potential of a good story, and for that I will always be grateful. I owe a lot to that random book I picked up off the shelf in first grade

There is no better way to explain what it is about Percy Jackson that makes us love him so much. These books have changed my life and hold a very big place in my heart. I am completely sure that troughout my life I will still think of them and they will be just as special. Ok another reason why Percy is a better swordfighter than Jason and why Greek swordplay is superior to Roman is because 1 Romans train and fight as groups the Greeks train in 1v1 combat, 2 The Greeks has eons of experience training heroes (Chiron) , 3 In the Blood of Olympus Nico DI Angelo is able to beat 6 Roman legionnaires in 10 seconds i might add by himself while being exhausted from shadow traveling and having his molecules diapering from shadow traveling and Percy was able to beat several Romans legionnaires in the war games in the son of Neptune. Greeks have superior swordplay Romans just have more strict training methods but with no mentor like Chiron. Also Roman legionnaires are part of the Roman soldiers wow. Wow if you still think after this that Romans have superior training methods and Jason is a better swordfighter than Percy then you are braindead or have not payed attention to the books I mean of Romans have superior training methods than Greeks how is it that one Greek can beat 6 roman Legionnaires in 10 seconds while being exhausted and having his molecules disappearing and ( btw Nico did this in the blood of Olympus page 423 and Percy in the war games is able to beat several Romans and basically carried all the fighting and Percy did not have all of his memories at the time so he would not have all of his fighting skills. Jason had more time training, 8 years as opposed to Percy's 15 months. However, excessive training with a legion, but no good teacher, isn't going to help with your sword skill, it only prevents you from getting rusty. Jason was already the strongest in the legion, so any more legion training won't really help, because he cant learn from those who are better, while Percy has got Chiron, Quintus, Luke, and gained much experience from them. Jason actually has less battlefield experience, even though he has gone on quests. His most notable feats include defeating Titan Krios, Lityerses, and the trojan sea monster, while Percy beat Kronos, Iapetus, survived Atlas even when he had curse of Ares, and defeated Hyperion. So in terms of strength and skill, Percy should be above Jason. In terms of durability, Jason wins the Gold award for getting knocked out. He gets knocked out by cyclops, again by Hera, then in Mark of Athena, by a brick, by percy leg swiping him and knocks his head on concrete, and then by a dolphin... etc. Percy survives a fricking fall to Tartarus, as well as a volcanic explosion that sent him flying in Battle of the Labyrinth. so, its clear who wins durability contest. Finally, in powers... Jason has lightning, and since it conducts through water, many would believe he can win. However, as Jason and Thalia have both used their most powerful lightning on Percy before, and both times Percy came off without even the slightest injury... this wouldn't be very effective, plus, as we see in Burning Maze before Jason's death, the effort really drains him, and as we see in Mark of Athena, Ephialtes deflected his lightning with a spear, meaning Percy can do the same with Rip Tide. On the other hand, Percy can control poison, so why cant he control blood, which is 95% water? He can use the blood bending trick, causing Jason's blood vessels to bend, explode, contract, his blood to stop flowing, anything. So if there really is a fight to the death between these 2, Percy only needs this one power to kill Jason. Not to mention Percy can summon water out of himself, create a hurricane, drown an entire Roman legion in Son of Neptune, cause an explosion that wakes up Typhon, control the ocean, and so many more. In conclusion, Percy is just too OP as a character. Jason is already one of the greatest heroes of his age, no one can deny that. They are also 2 of my favorite characters. But his power levels are no where near Percy's, and the best he can do is to match someone along the lines of Frank, Thalia, and Nico, come on Zeus why are your children not the strongest aren't you the king of the gods? Did I not mention that when Percy came to camp he was beating everyone in the war game and the Greek sword fighting style is described by Roman’s to be unorthodox the Roman’s fight as groups and not really 1v1 unlike the Greeks the Roman sword fighting style is stabbing and analyzing your opponent while the Greek is like I said unorthodox and unpredictable the Roman’s are limited to stabbing and and analyzing but the Greek are less predictable and the Roman’s can’t really analyze the sword fighting style and it was proven in the war games at camp Jupiter in the book don of Neptune Percy beats many Roman’s campers who would most likely have more experience than him because they could have been taken in by lupus the wolf goddess at an early age most likely seven because the Roman’s are very strict with training and Percy beats many of the roman campers in the war games so Percy sword fighting style would be more effective on Jason because it unorthodox and unpredictable and hard to analyze and if Jason can’t predict he will be limited to stabbing and thrusting so in terms of sword fighting Percy had an edge, And this is what the creator said about when I first said this in the comments From @AHealthyDoseofFran 7 days ago (just telling everyone how long this was) That’s just called OP Percy and honestly, even historically, it didn’t make sense that Percy was easily defeating the romans when the romans were the best army that is what the creator said.
