@@DrTrishLeigh thanks for your support and your videos it's very hard to overcome this addiction due to the extreme dopamine shots in the reward centre of the brain but i'm working on it everyday i have a new job doing something good for society and i also follow therapy sessions now never stop fighting porn it used to be my dirty little secret my save place nobody knew or came close to because of the fear getting caught i had a wound underneath from past trauma until it nearly destroyed me... life is finally getting better after 15 very dark years...🙏

@@ericdrake904 I guess feeling like a decent human being who can relate to others and enjoy normal life without staring at nude chicks on screen can be called superpowers as majority up to their ears in that stuff. And people and especially girls notice inner calm and not being a creep. They like it, they feel safe - something that all normal girls want. So here you have it, a superpower already. 🤔

Day 7, one week 🥳! I know that it’s not much but it’s worth celebrating for me. I feel like a lot of my addictive tendencies were built on top of my porn habit. I’ve tackled most of those, but I think once I adjust to my new normal dopamine levels I’ll have a much easier time quiting my last vice. coke beaten ✅ nicotine beaten ✅ porn beaten (for now)✅ MJ ❌

As a man in his 30's, who's struggled for over 20 years (it wasn't even until I was in my late 20's that I put 2 and 2 together.), you're lucky to have caught it so fast. It will only get harder, if you let it continue any longer. You don't want to deal with 20+ years of addiction. That is a hard dragon to slay. Good luck to you, young man. And when you're free, don't go back. Only one wrong look can take you right back to the start. Wishing you the best.

Dear doctor, Firstly thank you very very much for these video. I am 37 now. I started porn when I was in college. I am not married. My addiction to porn was due to backstabbing love trauma. With lot of difficulty I picked myself up and started walking again. A girl came into my life one day and it seemed like everything was gonna be fine. She was in difficulty. I helped her in tough situations in her life financially and mentally , jeopardising my own career. After she came back to normal ,share started picking fights with me and one day backstabbed and left, leaving me mentally and financially broke. After this the intensity of the porn increased it has lot of anger, hate and anguish in my heart. I understand how porn is damaging my mind. I understand everything you said. But my future looks very bleak with respect to healthy life and happiness. I probably won’t marry ever. I won’t watch porn , for myself (thanks to you), I won’t masturbate (you said it is porn related). So what options do I have ? How does a human being live normally ? Is it possible to live like this ?

Hey doc! I had a question maybe you could answer in part of a video: So, many people know about the Coolidge effect which is where you need novelty to keep dopamine and arousal high. How does this translate to real life? Does this mean my brain will be unsatisfied with just one partner forever? Or, is this desensitization a symptom that goes away gradually when one quits porn. Thank you

There is only so much excersie I can do. My happiness seem link to it . If I feel pain like pulled muscle or joint problems or can't move or excersie as well for what ever reason I get so depress. See escorts too for touching and hugs and also same theory as excersie for me, movement to feel good. And music again even better if I can move to it . And finally eating healthy I love that too, it just feels better, body feels balance not dehydration like when you eat unhealthy . I also take dog to park. I do most of it what you say yet I still have a screen problem . Social isolation and social anxiety

Also i recommend to sometimes lay down in bed and close your eyes ank keep saying my eyes relax my eyes relax my eyes relax and get into relaxation state, rest eyes and enjoy this state. Or take a bath or shower. Also watch into the window with a cat. Listen to rain. Draw your dreams that you had during sleep. Watch animation to get you into good mood. Go for a walk. Do cold shower it gets you good mood. Avoid tender blankets because it can do harm by making you too excited. Go for a walk if you can. Watch birds. Photograph the neighborhood you are living in: clouds, trees, streets. Do a video. Show it to others. You can do sunlight meditation. You need to relax and imagine that there is golden light around you. Imagine falling into this light. Feel relaxed. At first nothing special will happen, but if you continue this, you will start to feel like that golden light, your mood will become better. People who had meditation in life understand what it is. It works well when you do 16 hour fasting. Because you start getting energy from your positive imagination with golden light and not screen. Its different feeling. And you might feel light feelings. Meditation helps.

@Ocean_Man_

Yeah but constantly thinking that masturbation is ruining your life can actually trigger a placebo effect that can actually make it dangerous. Also trying to suppress sexual thoughts too much can actually do the opposite since you experience anxiety every time you try to suppress it making it a compulsion much like what is seen in people with OCD. And if you can't quit the habit just find something or someone in your life that you love and stop overfixating on the sexual thoughts. If you really can't get rid of them you should consult a proffesional maybe its linked to a mental health condition.

I know that you want everyone to do the work that they love but that's a fantasy for 99% of people. Most people don't even know what that would be. Most people just want a good paying job that they don't hate. In addition, someone had to do all the menial tasks and that's 99% of jobs. You may be unintentionally sabotaging people by making them feel that if they can't make a living "doing what they love" them they're a failure.

Does reading romance novels/ erotica have the same effect on the brain as porn? I feel like it might be ruining my relationship because I expect mind blowing passionate sex with a man who has a perfect body, which I know is unrealistic.

Lets get porn out of our libraries. A college girl can’t be safe in a library anymore because the American Library Association considers it free speech and won’t filter it.

Nobody cares. This video is only an attempt at trying to control people. I've been over this in responses I have left to other videos. There is no such thing as natural. Would not natural have existed previous to my ever watching porn? I'm not a snowboarder, I was a skier. I've tried snowboarding, it was ok, but being a man whom is apparently not capable, it doesn't matter what I say.
