It's only the people who know nothing of racing that make these dumb comments. Getting on throttle early and carrying more exit speed out of corner is obviously going to mean carrying more speed down the straight. Max is confident enough in the car to deal with rear end instability that comes from his setup whereas Checo can't. There is no difference in the cars just the driver behind the wheel and the preferred driving styles. I wish Redbull could settle this by allowing Max to run Checo's car using his own setup and I'm sure he'd perform just as well in that as he does his own. There is no chance in hell a team would deliberately sabotage one of their cars and what would be the point? Are people seriously thinking that Perez is a Verstappen level driver? There are maybe two or three drivers on the grid that would perform somewhat similarly to Max in the RB19 and none of them are Checo.

The same people that praised Perez in 2021 are now trash talking him down. He didn't unlearn how to drive. The car is clearly inferior to Max and team gave false information to him to slow him down even more. Marko//Jos/Verstappen run the team. 2nd driver is screwed.

He just needed to keep Alonso behind him and keep the car on track. Why would he push with a couple laps left in the rain? Doesn’t make sense.

The car suites Verstappen driving style ONLY. Give Checo a car who is to his liking and Verstappen will struggle

I have a feeling Miami had a huge mental impact on him. How Max was able to pass him for the lead so easily (and while using his tires way less to boot) despite Max starting so far back in a track that's supposed to be somewhat difficult to overtake in.

If I were Max I'd be extremely flattered right now, people are starting to believe he is otherworldy or something lol...the cars ARE different, it's the responsibility of the driver to find the right setup on FRIDAY. Max is great on this (although struggled at the start of the season, because he prefers a oversteery car, which is hard to setup a balance). Not every driver is good at setup...Alonso is doing the same to Stroll, is Stroll being sabotaged too? Come on...

Imagine being RedBull and not wanting to have a 1-2 in the driver's championship and a secure 1st in the constructors. You actually think RB wants to put Max on a pedestal but embarrass Checo?

Yeah...it's actually the contrary, RB although they are really enjoying life right now, might be put into a Marc Marquez situation, where he was made the into the absolute pivot of the Honda operation, and now they are struggling hard. Surely they have reaped years of pure glory thanks to him, but not having "hand" sucks...relying too much on Max will cause RB to lose their independence, and be in very precarious situation in case he decides to make demands. Having a strong second driver is RB goal, and they thought Perez was that guy (and he really WAS, he was phenomenal in 2021, put Hamilton and Bottas in his pocket so often with little experience in the car), but who simply crumbled under the pressure of being the sole force capable of stopping (and overcoming) Max.
