@@billywashere6965 The Car was campy, but I loved it. I found The Duel kinda, meh. I don't think I was mature enough to appreciate it when I saw it as a teen, though my dad absolutely loooooved it. Christine is still my #1 dream car, and I don't think it will EVER be replaced.

It was very focused in the feeling of a 2 yr vigilante rookie, and how he goes from the motorcycle to the car...he is still right there where he is somewhat comfortable with some choices, but it feels green. The batmobile is a prototype for what is to come, but it has helped him to achieve fast and gruesome chases. Loved it!

The sound was so powerful the whole ground shook. It was such a smart sound design move done by the director, as the shots were changing between penguin and batman - the penguins car was loud and good but felt normal, whenever batmans shots came the batmobile had such roaring sound with such intense bass that the whole theatre, the floor started trembling. You could feel the power of the batmobile.

They introduced the Batmobile like it was a important character - which is fitting. The roaring to life of the jet turbine is terrifying - listening to it literally scream to life as it spools up is unreal. The bad guys were all like "wtf?!" when they heard/saw it. Was terrific.

It was actually build by Bruce at the age of 16 if we see the comics that this movie is based on, and the novels cuz it connects well with this movie.

Perfect way to some up the Batmobile from a narrative perspective. That's really what the Batmobile has to be an extension of the story. A down and dirty hand built functional but rough and ready war machine.

Because there's no real reason why it's more perfect than the 89 Batmobile or the Tumbler.

@@billywashere6965 Disagree. That depends on personal taste, so you shouldn't state that as if it was a fact. This car cetainly has characteristics that make him more interesting than the other ones, and the same could be said about all of them. But even if you didn't like the new batmobile, your comment shows you failed to understand my point. My point is: The video does not discuss what it promises to discuss. So they either did on purpose to atract more views with something devoid of content, or they are clueless about this. Both cases make me believe they are horrible at their jobs and should not be "creating content" on the internet.

That's why it's perfect. No words needed. It's just perfect.

Fun fact the new batmobile is actually based on a Dodge Charger it was confirmed that they used a Charger body split in half and then was made wider to fit onto the kustom chassis of the car, they where different versions made for the movie with different engines, one has a Tesla drive train, the hero car has no engine, then they made a kinda rally configuration, and they made a stunt hero car that has an V8 in it :)

@@GRIMEYtheFATMAN yes exactly but allot of websites claimed the car to be a 70 cuda,and I was like never ever this is based on a 70 cuda, the windshield isn't the same shape, and like you say the side windows just confirmed the fakt that this a Charger body !

Just like this first movie was a modified 60’s muscle sports car, I think the the next Batmobile should be a modified Supercar or hypercar, like a modified Lamborghini, Ferrari, or Koniegsegg...

I neither hope or expect it to stray too far from this initial design. I think a few additional features would be fun, but I think if it shifts back toward something we've seen before, it would defeat the purpose of being new and different. One of the ongoing problems of franchises like Batman going on and on is that there's this temptation to keep adding more and more, going bigger and bigger. The result, as we've seen, is the Clooney Batmobile and its absurd excesses, or the Snyder battle-tank that looked like something from a Terminator sequel. Both were just the version from the previous movie, but more. And sometimes, more just isn't better. What made The Batman so great is that it pulled everything back into the realm of believability. No billion-dollar prototypes. Nothing needed Lucius Fox to explain where it came from or how it worked, because it was all self-evident. That DIY approach is what defines this version of Batman, and I'd hate to see it abandoned just so we can get another HUM-Lamborghini. Been there, done that. Let's see where this home-made Batmobile can take the character, instead of wishing the Batmobile was more like something we've already seen.

@@changsangma1915 Because it wasn't properly armored. It was about as armored as the Interceptor, which was fine for Max because he had to scavenge for what he had in those films. Batman has billions of dollars at his disposal and a completely exposed powertrain that would go kaput with one solid shunt from behind, which would dent the exhaust, forcing back pressure into the downpipe and cause the head to explode when he would go to accelerate due to all the built-up gases. It's a mobile explosion waiting to happen.

It definitely is the most realistic and grounded Batman movie to date.

The new batman is NOT more grounded than Batman Begins... It's just a different kind of grounded

@@johnh8546 it's not more grounded than Batman Begins. It IS darker and more emotional. But, it still has some fantasy/sci fi elements like Batman injecting himself with venom and coming back to life or when a barrage of bullets was pinging off his suit like it's nothing.

Only the car in The Batman was a hot rod. The '66 Batmobile was a remodeled concept car, and the others were nothing more than moving movie props. Of course, from what I've been given to understand, the car in the Batmobile was about 30% prop too. The back engine was just for pretty, it didn't do anything. What's amazing about the Tumbler is that they actually built a Batmobile for real, that could actually do most of the things it was pretending to do. Of course, again, like the most recent one, the jet in the back is pure cinema fantasy. But otherwise, it's kind of amazing that they literally made a real Batmobile.

What is "year 2 batman before playboy Bruce blah blah blah"..? He did all those things when he left the league of assassins and returned to Gotham. i.e. He was "playboy Bruce". Bruce didn't get "full control" of Wayne Enterprises until the end of Batman Begins. Lucius had already made the tech Batman used as he was head of Wayne Enterprises R&D dept. Which Earth does Pattinson's version of Batman take place?

@@Ceyx000 You do know Nolan batman is not accurate to the comics at all right? He didn't just suddenly become playboy Bruce. Nolan didn't have 6 movies to flesh the character out and so had to skip to him being batman pretty fast after the origin story. In fact even in Begins, Bruce gets a lot of suggestions from Alfred about playing polo or dating supermodels so he wasn't always that way. The real mask he wears is Bruce Wayne. He's batman all the time.

As in before he had any money also? This thing looks like something a common welder with a mechanic buddy would make in the backyard after watching the Punisher. Even in the cartoon he had a hired mechanic that did the car for him. Even without a first model he should be able to make a competent list of things the car needs to be incase he needs it for anything more than an escape ride. Batman is supposed to be highly intelligent like a genius... Strong, sturdy, heavy, powerful, fast, shielded. Even if say someone else crashes into him by complete accident it's not like he can wait for the police and a wrecker... even hit by a semi or at least a 1 ton it's gotta be able to limp back at a good pace. Needs to break through barricades if need be. It's why his newer cars have gotten more tank like. Even the 89 was very well armored.

@@jacobnash9755 You know billionaires don't have a billion dollars in cash in their bank account. They're worth that because of all their assets and in the case of Bruce the majority of those assets are Wayne Industries stocks which you can't buy cars with. If he gets mechanics to build for him they'd need to be in on it too and that means they can let others know the car they've seen on the streets being driven by Batman is the one they made for Bruce and the gig is up. This is a broken Bruce who trusts no one and wants nothing else but to punish others so he won't put his trust and faith in a mechanic who could spill the beans. Plus I'm not sure if you've ever worked on a car before but the kind he has is not cheap. A V8 with twin turbos and a jet engine mounted on an old muscle car chasis that's been reinforced with what I presume is bulletproof armour and q massive battering ram in the front all while being nimble and fast enough despite weighing like 6 tons. He also needs a car that he can leave without worrying much about if it does get totaled so no need to get it back to the cave. Even his suit is all about function and not about looks. Hell get the more refined toys and batsuit later on when he calms down a little and gets a vision of the kind of hero he needs to be. This batman isn't a hero yet. He's just effing pissed and wants to break some skulls.

The hood scoops? The entire hood is custom. The windscreen and roof and side windows and rear roof pillars though are almost a dead on match for the 68 or 69 or 70 Charger. I don't think the car is a modded Charger though. The car they built has an all tube frame suspension and aside from the roof, nothing else matches a Charger. I think they bought after market sheet steel and glass to give the car some grounding real world car parts to keep the design grounded. These days you can practically build an entire Charger from scratch with after market steel.

@@straker454 look under the main scoop. There look to be long mounted scoops, like heat extractors. They seem familiar, like an old Mopar.

I think it started as a plymouth cuda but they've made it wider and added other parts from other muscle cars

@@collincutler4992 I guarantee they scratch built this car. There's nothing I've seen about the frame or chassis or body panels that tells me this car is a modded and very hard to get Charger or Cuda. That's not a scoop on the hood. There's two long bracer bars that are on either side of the center panel that go under the nose and come out the grille and wrap around the front bumper. Between them are a slotted panel that allows a red light to come through them. That hood is also pinned under the fenders so it doesn't open. The fenders are overlapping onto the hood and held on by rivets. If you look at the back of the car or some of the undercarriage pics the car is more like a stock car with a full tube frame network under it for the body panels to attach to. It also has four wheel independent suspension. After the Nolan and Snyder films scratch building their cars, they scratch built this car as well and used after market parts to make it appear to be a modded car, but the mods would have to be so extensive that they would have to build an all new car. It would be way easier and cheaper to build it from scratch.

@@gabrielbrown805 There isn't one section of the car that matches any real car aside from the roof and windscreen and rear pillars. It's designed to evoke a classic muscle car rather than actually be made out of one.

That's what I love about it. It's unfinished, not perfected, and shows how Batman needs to improve his equipment in the future.

It's unfinished and raw just like this batman only two years into his journey. This is basically the prototype batmobile and man is it so wicked in this movie

Not entirely sure that's true. Guess it depends on your p.o.v. There was a Bat-Girl character in the comics from 1961 on, but it wasn't Barbara Gordon. The Barbara Gordon character debuted in the comics the same year as in the TV show, but much earlier in the year. That could be explained pretty easily imo.

The 60s series was also a big influence on the look of Alfred, who had previously been a tubby comedy figure.

That's how people know you haven't seen the movie. That ain't no sports car. That's a tank bursting at the seams of a muscle car shell, powered by at least one RV engine.

I thought it was a 1970 Dodge Challenger/Plymouth HEMI Cuda since the Charger is a big, long car while this new Batmobile looks a little smaller and more agile.

@@elijahprasad7884 I think the movie gives a false impression of this car’s size. In person this Batmobile is enormous. I can see why you could mistake it for a Challenger or Cuda but it is a Charger.
