I do admire how well they were able to put together their supporting cast. That seems like the hardest part of team construction, rather than trading for stars. Like if the team is a puzzle, then the supporting cast is all the pieces that are the sky, or grass, and figuring out which pieces go together is the challenge.
@connorestes981412 күн бұрын
fr tho. imho that was what made the warriors so unstoppable from 2015 on. they drafted their amazing players, but more importantly were able to make some incredible moves to put together such a well-rounded supporting cast & b-team that just made it easy for the stars to take breaks in-game without having to be scared they‘ll get destroyed in those phases of the game. that b-team & supporting cast was able to genuinely win games, furthen their lead or make up a big deficit, they were just so incredibly coherent & sticked together like gorilla glue. having that type of support & relief can give your starting 5 so much more energy to play that much better. its essential, youre not winning a championship with just 2 star players & a bunch of mid hoopers anymore. depth can do so much & if you have chemistry in that depth, you can be unstoppable.

@dii13144 күн бұрын
Yes, it was on Danny Ainge for getting the Jays, but we were also on the brink of a rebuild in 2021 for Danny Ainge and his love stacking draft picks to draft small guards. Ainge would've never moved on from Kemba to bring back Big Al if it meant giving away a pick.

The Timing of this Video coming out when the Celtics just got blown out by the Cavs is Hilarious, and Tbh about Joe Mazzula, If anything i think its impressive that he managed to get these guys organized enough after all the drama that happened towards the end of 2022 to be able to not only win each series in 2023, but make the Conference Finals yet again and almost coming back from 0-3 deficit. If anything, I think that's on the players for not playing with enough tenacity and effort for losing to Miami in Game 7. Now the Celtics are the #2 defense in the league and have the best Offensive Rating in NBA History. This is good example of organization and getting all players to buy into their role. Idt this is a coaching problem, rather a player problem with JT and Jalen Brown not being able to become that 1 option to lead them over that hump. Well see though this season. If there's any season for them to win, it's this one.

Yes from the departure of Garnett in 2007 up through the 2020 draft and development of Edwards. In that time there was Ricky Rubio and Johnny Flynn being picked over Curry, Kevin Loves whole tenure before Cleveland, KAT and Wiggins, Butler/Thibs and all that drama leading to eventually D-Lo and in the end Anthony Edwards 25 years after the last Franchise player was chosen. After that they turned things around and got Gobert and it's been the best run in 20 years

The record that the Celtics accrued this year indeed does place them directly into the history books as one of the best teams in league history. The point differential alone represents how dynamic they are on both offense and defense respectively... Tenacious defense, unselfish offense ,the creation of points from turn overs and rebounding differential are all symbolic of the greatness they possess as a team... If they win championship number 18 without Kristop Porzingas it will in my mind seal everything in regards to ranking them among the very most elite of single season NBA teams As a franchise overall I believe them to rank among the very best .... equalling past Celtic teams,Chicago,Detroit,Los Angeles to name some of the most prolific team runs in history Now the Celtics must win like this for multiple seasons to rank equally or higher than their peers in regard to elite franchises.... EVER barring no other candidates as franchises

They dont just have a good bench, they basically have a second team ready to go. Tatum and Porzingus were both out and they still beat the top teams. Its not just the top players, its how strong the rest of the team is. Payton Pritchard has gotten better every year. There is a reason why he is getting serious play time in the playoffs. They are by far the best team in the NBA, but basketball is as much a mental game as physical. If the Celtics have a bad day, any team in the top half of the NBA can beat them if they have a good day. They also need a loss at the right time because they get complacent if they win too many in a row. They hate to lose even more than they want to win.
@theprodigyhq987114 күн бұрын
One error I noticed Dylan. The Celtics did not go 26-20 in the last 40. In order for that to happen, 10 of our losses would be negated. Those two records add up to 47-25. However, 36-20 is still a drop off from the 21-5 start. Realistically, we should’ve went about 43-13 in our last 56 and finished 64-18 like this year.
@Tony19C25 күн бұрын
As a life long C’s fan I can tell you what they lack of: Mental Toughness, Lack of Leadership, and Lack of Confidence. They’re a great team but sometimes they fold and go back to play ISO or shooting bricks and die at the 3pt line instead of driving to the basket. And let’s not forget about Mazzulla. He’s proven time and time again that when the opposite team goes on a run, he doesn’t call timeouts to slow down their momentum and work on another strategy. It has cost them some key games last year and this year as well. He will become a great coach in the future but not now. This is the most talented roster they’ve had in a long time and it can stay that way for years but for that to happen they have to win a championship THIS year.
