It's awesome hearing directly from the designer on why something is designed a certain way. I completely understand his frustrations. I am constantly explaining how & why I designed an item to coworkers or customers. I bet his sales go through the roof now.

Hello! I'm number 5,609 and what few times I have used this device I have been incredibly impressed. Finally got one after about 6 years in the industry and have recently purchased the drill bit attachment for the Harken winch. Can't wait to see what it can do for me and our small crew.

I haven't had a chance to use one yet. Our company has one, but they are scared to let it go out. We use a block on the base large port a wrap on the mini to achieve lift. Thanks for the knowledge. I won't be a total noob when we get a chance to use one.

You can always attach a pulley with a prusil to the rigging line going up the tree from the porta wrap to get a mechanical advantage to lift up limbs. You can only lift up limbs that your string enough to lift. You can also use a massdam rope puller the same way.

Great things they are but you can just buy a sail winch for how ever much it costs in whatever size you want as long as the drums surface is smooth for rigging, then build the rest for about $100 if you can weld properly,if you can’t weld then ye your only option is to spend big bucks on one of these

It's awesome that he knows where serial # 1 is and who bought it. I work in a small shop and it's night and day difference compared to how Greg runs his business. Doing multiple runs of QC throughout assembly, actually serializing products; not super noteworthy for most, just the little things that make top notch customer satisfaction. I'm also surprised, but not, that he lost that lawsuit. I'm with him on designing things for people that have a brain and don't need to put warning labels on everything just to cover one's ass.
