Photo inserts for EVERYTHING you mention EVERY TIME would make these podcasts much more satisfying to watch. Even going back to ALL of your old videos, like up to speed or bumper to bumper and adding in a quick photo of literally every reference would improve the viewers experience.

I miss my 74 datsun, but doing truck stuff with it was killing it (I was hauling loads of lumber, firewood, my shopsmith and motorcycles... the old girl just wasn't having it) I ended up with an 02 avalanche, now it's at 295,000 miles and hauls whatever I throw at it. I'll always miss my lil' hustler though

The Camper Special was the package that Nolan was referring to that set up the truck with a longer wheelbase, bed side mounted spare, and heavy springs made to take the weight of a slide in camper. Ranger and Explorer were trim packages only and could be applied to any of Fords full size truck lineup back then.

The 3rd gen ram (~2002-2008) did not have the R/T package yet. It was introduced in the 4th Gen rams (~2009-2018) only on the 2 door short bed sport model. They did have hemi-sport, rumble bee, Daytona, and srt10 packages which were "sporty" and close to the R/T in spirit. I own a 2007 RCSB 1500 with hemi and love it.

I honestly don’t really like trucks, or like bigger cars in general, but this episode was super entertaining. I know trucks are like mostly an American thing, but I think here in Mexico people have a huge love for trucks as well, at least where I live. I can certainly appreciate the truck culture. A truck that I *would* like is one of those 1980s Toyota mini pick up trucks, probably lowered and painted a soft lilac color👌

I had an 86 Subaru Bratt, and a 78 Dodge Power wagon. Now in a 99 Dakota. Last year for the 318 (5.2)

I got my 2002 Ford f150 4.2L V6 for 2k$ with 190k miles. It is the most reliable car I've ever owned and is extremely easy to work on. Hands down my favorite and will hang on to it for the rest of life even if I upgrade, great car. 😁

Question… Are the three big trucks best selling because it’s overall sales that include commercial/work trucks or just consumer trucks? You could consider that two different stats. Like the “best selling consumer car” (not used for work). There’s an outrageous amount of work trucks so that’s why they sell the most.

Yes. Commercial trucks make up a huge percentage of sales. The big 3 don't separate fleet sales from personal sales.

You’re handsome and at this point trucks are a luxury item because they have so many options and they can be very expensive. To me having a brand new top of the line Chevy is like having a Mercedes or Lexus it’s a status icon. Also love the podcast I listen to the show every day on my way for work.

My first car was a Ford Ranger 4x4 with KC Lights Hurst Shifters its was an 86 Black with yellow racing Stripes it looked similar to Iowa Hockeyes jersey which was just like my HS football teams jersey! Begged my dad to buy it! I worked to save up for 3 years car insurance and I had to learn to drive stick in s $300 Ford Citation it was Ford's answer to the chevette. It was an absolute junker! I drove it all summer prior to sophomore year and was even getting good grades and had been player varsity football and starting OLB on a DiV 1 team that most of our skill players went to Big team College teams and our former QB was in the NFL! Needless to say my head was so huge I looked like a human bobble head! I was even dating a senior cheerleader. But me and half the offensive line all pilled in my Citation cause my dad said I still was not responsible enough to drive that truck! The guys I was out with were all.seniors and back in the day they sold 2 liters of wine coolers and on Friday nights after games they would either beer bong two liter s of wine coolers or 2 40s of Old English 8 ball! I bonged two 2 liters and we thrashed that car hitting mailboxes, doing doyghnuts, mud running it. So my boy says we all stay his house tell my dad it broke down and vandalize it and blame it on our cross town rivals! It worked!

I HATE the new pick up trucks. You have to stand on a ladder to service the engine. Very few people actually need them. It's totally a "mine's bigger than yours" thing. Give me an old C-10 any day.
