Best explanation, thanks for this! I had been letting my wrist drop more, and I needed to rotate the elbow for much for consistent swing path. The reason I have been looking for more lag, is just so the racket head is in more of a consistent place at contact with the ball. And something that feels more natural. Appreciate it!

good stuff ... I had to develop a new sensory perception when I went to the underside of forearm facing sky fwd swing ... it entails realigning your brain's spacial perception in order to hit the racket's sweet spot with a torso turn (rather than the instinctive arm/shoulders swing we develop from infancy) ... the only thing I can liken it too is writing in the old Palmer cursive method when you form letters with shoulder motions instead of the tiring thumb/finger motions.

I love your creativity in finding ways to allow players to feel / see what may otherwise be too subtle to notice.

Do you intentionally rotate elbow first or it happens due to other things?
@oneminutetennis

If it happens naturally. Great. But for me. I have to consciously rotate my elbow. How about for you?

@narsimha1089 hi. Sorry, I wasn't trying to be vague. Check your stroke. If your opening your elbow. Then don't think about it. If your not, then you need to really, consciously make this movement. My suggestion with using the continental grip to feel the swing is very effective. Does this help?
