I am amazed! I have been praying and learning the Latin Mass of The Ages for 3 years now and was born in 1960 and knew nothing except the Novus Ordo Mass growing up. My husband and I married 43 years ago at ages 20 and 21 on October 25th,1980! I have never even heard of this beautiful martyred couple! I will share their story with my husband and we will now beg these Saints to give us graces in our marriage. We have been robbed of the beauty, depth and knowledge of Our Church by Modernity! Modernism, not modernity. Modernity always exists; modernism is the synthesis of all heresies. Oyr current modernity is bound up with modernism, yes.

@@clarekuehn4372Marshall Berman in his All That Is Solid Melta into Air: The Experience of Modernity dates the beginning of modernity with the high Renaissance and lasting until the "fall" of the Soviet Union. He defined it as, "Modernity is seen as a generally progressive trend connected with the human capacity to create, improve or adapt the world around with the help of practical experiments, scientific knowledge and technology. All modern movements have in common their rejection of the recent past and their goal to initiate truly new developments." So modernity is the condition of the collective will to break with the past and continuity of tradition. Its origins are in the adoption of the hermetic kabbalah into Christian thought, so in this sense, modernism as the Popes defined, means basically the same.

I love staying after morning Mass at my traditional church and hearing the priests chant Prime with the martyrology. I wasn’t aware it was suppressed after V2. As usual, I learn so much from this channel.

I'm a recent convert to the TLM from the NO, where I was a lazy Catholic at best. I'd go to Mass on Sunday where I would try to pay attention...but 1 hr later, we better be done. That has changed... Now I feel like I'm in an endless field of flowers and I'm picking each one & am in awe of it's beauty. & then there's another, & another, & each is more beautiful! As I learn about the Faith I grew up in, but never really knew, I realize how we've been cheated, but God is ever more merciful! I never grow tired of learning this beautiful, phenomenal Faith as I'll never grow tired of flowers. You're a wonderful teacher and an inspiration! Your talks set my heart on fire. May it continually burn! God bless you, Father! & Thank you!

I saw on Return to Tradition this morning, in South America, you can now be excommunicated for going to a Latin Rite Mass, or if you invite someone to go to one.

@Fr JM My parents gave me the name Daria from a book of Catholic saints names to be something ‘Different’. About 40 years later I learned more about my namesake. Thank you for the correct pronunciation of my name and this wonderful lesson!

First class. ❤ I'm learning to serve at the authentic Mass at the moment - there's nothing better than the Holy Bible, the Holy Mass and established sacraments. God bless your intentions Father - great video. (If you can still called it video😅) The true Mass has strengthened my Faith in abundance - and it is being suppressed for that very reason, but they cannot suppress it anymore! Jesus Christ, same yesterday, today and forever! ❤ His Kingdom has no end... I started listening to gregorian chants in Latin. Some have the lyrics in both latin and english. I have already started picking up a few words here and there. Its a beautiful language. I dont understand why cant the church offer all versions that are true. English or latin. Chants or not. I dont get whats wrong with the high latin mass. I guess its above my pay grade. But its sad

I’m learning a little Latin on Duolingo- it is basically free and available for smartphone…. It’s good fun and starts pretty easy!!

There is nothing wrong with the Traditional Latin Mass. It is the true worship of God, which is why it is being attacked. The evil one is behind this persecution of Christ’s Bride, the Catholic Church and her worship of God.

Thank you! The Canons at Kloster Maria Engelport have made daily readings of the martyrology on youtube (there is an English version and a German version for each day) I often listen to it while I have breakfast. I find it fascinating and so encouraging.

Thank you so much Pater Mawdsley, for the first time after being married 10 years and catholic for all my life; I know which part of the liturgy adresses the married and which saints I should ask to interceed for my marriage. How many tribulations catholic marriages cannot endure now a days, how forgotten is the marriage in the new church. If everything was tron appart, how do we expect to find our path to heaven, if all the means God provided us have been disposed by the new catholic religion?

Father, I think you should have topics regarding the rubrics, commemorations of the Mass and the Breviary pre-55 and the 1960 ones. It might garner interests of those lay faithful praying the Breviary and follow also carefully the Mass

So I wonder… those that doubted the authenticity of the liturgical testimony of Saints Chrysanthus and Daria because it was fantastic what else did they doubt? The multiplication of fishes and loaves? Perhaps even the physical Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ? Thank you for helping me connect the dots.
