In the face of a global pandemic, these people are doing what they can for their communities, whether delivering hot meals or performing online drag shows. New York may find itself on pause, but its residents are still trying to find ways to connect despite the outbreak.
The state has become the epicenter of COVID-19 cases in the U.S. With a stay-at-home order passed by Governor Andrew Cuomo last month, millions of people have been forced indoors. Many are unable to get tested even when displaying symptoms, and are experiencing financial uncertainty created by the pandemic.
