Mate, you know that NOW I have to try it as well! Thank you so very much for sharing this mod. 🤩 I'm trying to push this sort of PET recycling in schools, as a way to bring awareness for the importance of PET recycling to small children, and this mod of yours makes this process so much easier.

How do you keep the freshly extruded PET filament from clogging in the prusa's printing nozzle? How are you cooling it so quickly?

I’m assuming your temperature has to be just barely above melting point. But then since all PET are not created equally, that would not be the best solution. I’d say adding a small fan below the first hot end should fix the problem with variances in different bottles.

what if you just put a relay to power on the repet nozzle when the printer nozzle is on?

Hi, I'm also starting to get closer to this world but I have a problem which is that I don't know how to join the filaments produced by each bottle, I saw a machine on KZfaq called slunaz ff1r, whose function is to join the pieces of filament, but I don't know how it can be, has anyone tried it?

i think if you sanded the areas down that you wanted to join on the bottle strip with a dremel real quick, then join the sections either with heat or an ultrasonic welder?
