Do you have JET interview tips for people with autism and anxiety disorder? I really want to pass the JET interview this year.

Is it possible to let them know that you have these issues before hand so that they can make your interview a little bit different from the others?

Also, I would recommend looking online to see if there are other persons who have your condition who may be able to offer better tips for you. I hope this helps and I really wish you all the best for your next interview

I think the best thing you can do is ask someone who has the same symptoms what they did for interviews in general. I don't have autism, but i do have anxiety disorder. If you're not certain your prescription will help out then just make interviews part of your daily life so the JET interview doesn't cause a spike in your anxiety when the time comes. I hope this wasn't too late to help you. Now I'm going to go find some help for myself - my JET interview is on the 4th. It's a lttle soon for me haha

@@theinktician It doesn't matter anymore because my application got rejected which makes no sense. How did I get an interview twice back in 2019 and 2020 and then my application gets rejected in 2021? I'm done with JET. Congrats on making it to the interview stage.

i am currently 17, in college and am dreaming of going into the JET program. any advice about how to prepare early because i still have to go through university so i have a lot of preparation time. for example, what course at uni should i take, or can i take any course? will i definitely be required to do any japanese speaking in my interviews? thank you
@SandrineJamaica
@SandrineJamaica 3 жыл бұрын
Before coming to Japan get your drivers license. Travelling in Japan is expensive and there are a lot of places that you will want to see. Also solo road trips are always fun. In university study something that you love. Not just what you think you will need to come on JET. Remember that whatever you do in Uni might be what you will do for the rest of your life. Start studying Japanese from now. If you can speak the language then you will be better at communicating with people from small country areas. Thats my other advice, go off the beaten path. Tokyo and Osaka and all the big tourists places are overrated. The smaller countryside villages is where the "real" Japan exist.

@@SandrineJamaica I am getting better with my Hiragana, I write them often & do my flashcards daily! But, I have been studying only sparingly during my free time between courses.. I will set goals to move on to Katakana & eventually learn some Kanji soon 🫶 Thank you for this advice!!! 😊
