Candy Apple Recipe
3-5 Granny Medium Smith Apples
Sugar
Karo Syrup
Water
Gel Food Coloring
Flavoring
Candy Apple Sticks
Plastic apple bags and ties
ribbons and decorations
(Flavoring is optional)
Food Coloring - 36 Color Concentrated Liquid Food Colouring Set - neon Liquid Food Color Dye for Baking, Decorating, Icing, Cooking, Slime Making Kit and DIY Crafts, 6ml Bottles(0.2 fl.oz.) a.co/d/7v0Bc64
●Rinse Apples then boil Apples for 6 seconds each to remove the wax!
●Allow Apples to seep on a cookie sheet lined with clean dry paper towels for 24 hours.
●After 24 hours rinse the apples. Then throughout dry.
●Place sticks in the middle of each apple about 1/2 inch.
Candy Mixture (Batch 1)
2 cups of sugar
1 cups of water
1 cup of light Karo Corn Syrup
gel food color
Stir ingredients well and then boil; using a candy thermometer and stirring occasionally until the temperature reaches 300• FAHRENHEIT
Add 2-3 tsp of white gel food coloring when mixture reaches 300° FAHRENHEIT
Allow bubbles to settle then dip Apples and place them on a nonstic mat. Allow Apples to harden.
Candy Mixtures
Base color (Red)
3 cups of sugar
1 cups of water
1/2 cup of light Karo Corn Syrup
3-4 drop of white of white gel food coloring and 4-5 drops of red gel Stir ingredients well and then boil; using a candy thermometer and stirring occasionally until the temperature reaches 300• FAHRENHEIT
Allow bubbles to settle. Using

**** Add 2 very small drops of food coloring to your Candy mixture before boiling.
Stir ingredients well and then boil; using a candy thermometer and stirring occasionallyuntil the temperature reaches 300• FAHRENHEIT
*** Flavoring can be added at 220° FAHRENHEIT
***Add several drops of your favorite food coloring to the mixture.
Allow bubbles to settle then dip and swirl apples in the candy mixture. Place Apples on a nonstic mat. Allow Apples to harden.
