How to Add Bluetooth to Any Car Stereo for
Hello, in this video I wanted to show you how you can add Bluetooth feature to your old car cassette player. Unlike the application we made before, we directly integrated the amplifier chip into the system through the audio inputs.Additionally, the supply was reduced to 5 volts, which is the operating voltage of the module, again taken from the 12 volts in the tape and the GND.In this way, it works directly from the feed line of the cassette player.As a result of the application, all features of the cassette player work. Since the cassette player does not have an aux feature, silence is ensured by inserting an empty cassette into it.The tape playback feature of the cassette player can be used when desired. also AM. This guy is just showing his way of doing it not “the” way of having Bluetooth on an old stereo. I find it very interesting to see he took a more technical path.

Wrong, you directly give input to amplifier IC, so all Volume and Tone controls are bypassed, you should use AUX input point or tape Head preamplifier output point to give the output of Bluetooth module, in that case all controls would work,

You are right, I see that there is a manual potentiometer and it would be possible to connect there directly.

Also there will be cross-over when you play BT-audio and FM-radio simultaneously. There might be no Aux-input, that kind of head-unit, then the only solution is finding tape-deck output which is shown at 0:52.

Good job, but I usually put the capacitors at 7805 as indicated in the datasheet, if it oscillates it can burn the Bluetooth module. You could also enter through the preamplifier if possible, the idea of entering directly into the output amplifier caught my attention. But the original idea is very ingenious, greetings from Argentina.

Great idea and video,thanks to uploading. P.S. : make a metal shield ( like a koax cable) to the sound line cable and contact to this shield to the GND point, make protection from any noise my old Skoda Felicia make this noise also and very disturbe,when you like listen something on the radio. You also need to remember to incorporate noise suppression circuitry, as these BT modules put a lot of electrical noise onto the ground lines of the actual car stereo amplifier.

hocam elinize sağlık projeyi çok beğendim. Aynı bt modülü bende kullanıyorum teyp in içine takmak yerine micro usbden powerbank veya çakmaklıktan adaptör ile güç beslemesi yapıp aux ile sesi iletiyordum ama sizin proje daha temiz olmuş. Seviliyorsunuz. :)

I tried similar. I connected a BT module direct to the speaker outputs on my car radio. It worked but the radio played over the BT music signal. I couldn't figure out how to get a silent signal so I could only hear the BT music. The empty cassette is a great idea and now my setup works. Thanks! The only issue is the volume is a bit strange. I can only control volume via the volume on my BT connected device.

Nice build. I thought you would just delete the cassette carriage assembly. Curious idea to leave it in place and use a dummy cassette. Do the 4.7 capacitors increase the output signal for the amp? It would be nice to see explanations why the other chips are added. It’s still a very enjoyable project - thanks. Again!

its easy if the unit has a cassette or analog radio and i also done that from the past but what of its digital Fm /cd radio with no Aux and the cd ribbon connector has no marking for input/output, if i direct it to the main amp input it will sound but i will not be able to. use the volume, and other function

@@user-dm1it5cx8x your joking right? :-) there thing the almost all connect the 12volt/24volt power socket / cigarette/cigar lighter, most now have USB options charge mobile, or plug Drive in them, play music data file, then Bluetooth part you Bluetooth a connect to the device to you 12volt socket, and find what FM radio station transmitting on and tune car radio to station, job done! :-) you may more transmitted station if it's already being used by your local radio station? most are really low power radio output, if un sure not breaking law where you are?

There are some cars which have no bluetooth inputs but do have an "aux" input. Mine is one of them. I got myself a bluetooth receiver/transmitter which has a built-in battery. Whether it works in transmit mode or receive mode depends on which of the two stereo 3.5mm jacks you plug into. Plug the audio cord into the "receive" jack and the other end into the AUX jack on the car, then attach the charging lead via a 5V converter plugged into the 12V lighter socket. Bingo. I now have bluetooth.

I'mJean de Dieu from the south western of Rwanda.The idea is good but it is better to connect the blue tooth module output signal to the aux input of the car radio so that the bluetooth signal get preamplified(bass; treble&volume controled).Anyway thanks for the knowledge sharing.

nicely done - and there are a lot of things to be said (bypassing the controls etc., which already have been mentioned) and there is also this annoying fact, that the motor's always running while Bluetooth-mode, which would annoy me a lot (not mentioned the little e-noise and interferences it causes) ...well, anyway - nice, but needs improvement

Just disconnect the AM-part of the tuner and use it as AUX-input and you will have full functionality of the car stereo. I did that a lot many years ago to connect discmans and CD-changers with standalone control.

That seems more usefull for modern radio/cd car sets, AM band nowadays is useless as no radio stations broadcast on this band (at least in my country). So, you get an extra AUX-input & full audio control (volume-balance-equalizer), you only have to find where the AM-part of the tuner is...

You can do it with a bluetooth + FM transmitter Marketing as Carg7. No need to dismantle the unit. Carg7 work in 12v (can be used in cig lighter socket). The bluetooth receives signals and transmit it ss FM signal which can be played as FM station within the vehicle. You can set own station/meter which do not interfere with any local station. Set up is described in leaflet along with the device. This costs around rs.400/-. You can do it on any FM radio.

The easiest way to get bluetooth is to make a bluetooth cassete tape or an fm transmiter (modulator) the method you used its ok but the tone and volume controls are bypassed

podrías haber alimentado el modulo bluthut cuando ingresaba el casette asi no queda siempre energisado el modulo, un pequeño detalle y quedaba realmente bien. otra cosa podrías ingresar el audio por potenciometro asi te permite controlar nivel de audio desde el frente del stereo. soy medio detallista . abrazo
