When I go to run the ./aircast-linux-aarch64 It comes back with no such file or directory. Also tried with sudo.. any advice?

Hey thanks for the great guide. I had to also use aircast-linux-armv6, so it would be great if you could include a whole list of versions of aircast somewhere in your guide. Also your guide says to run the line "./ -i aircast.xml", but without "sudo", which will make it not work. In the video you say it correctly as "sudo ./ -i aircast.xml", but in your written guide you forgot the "sudo". Anyway thanks so much it works like a charm now :)

Thank you very much Richard, I'm running the homebridge distro, how can I run it as a service using that distro? /etc/systemd/system doesn't exist.

Hmm, from what I can see that should exist. You may need to run the command with sudo - does that make a difference? I've only dabbled with Homebridge so am not too versed in it unfortunately!

Hi Richard, can this setup work with SONOS? I have some old sonos that does not have Airplay. I tried on the 32bit Raspbian, the service starts and run, but i could not see the sonos devices on iOS airplay

I’m not sure if you’ll be able to get multiroom working with Sonos as I believe they are now on AirPlay 2 whilst this solution still uses AirPlay 1.

I tried a Raspberry Pi 3 and it worked quite well. I don't think it should be that intensive, so you may be able to get away with a slightly older model.

It gives me some problems when for example I play a song and fast forward or backward.

I did find that there was a bit of a delay, maybe a few seconds, when I did this myself.

@@RichardTech EDIT: nvm I commented too soon, you did a great job explaining what to type in the commands and stuff, I’ve just never used a Pi before so I didn’t understand at the beginning what SSH and directory meant.

after sudo chmod +x aircast-linux-aarch64 file, ./aircast-linux-aarch, it says "no such file or directory", but list files can show the downloaded file. problem resolved. Though uname -a tells that the system on raspberrypi is linux-aarch64, the linux-arm works. I remember that the raspberrypi os installed was the 32bit recommended by default.
