Works fine for me. Followed all steps. I went a step further and converted my Home Edition to Pro by using a valid key my college gave me a few years back. The key was for Windows 7 Ultimate. So as along as you have a valid key of any pro version it might work. Thanks for the info Richard. Helped a lot.

Bro, i have a huge problem, i don't know if you can solve it , because even Msi support couldn't, i lost my msi Factory reset option when i boot with f3. and now i can't get my Msi laptop katana Gf66 go back to stock state, all rgb functions stopped, and all Msi exclusive features missing...😢

You could reinstall Windows by creating a USB with the Media Creation Tool and then hopefully be able to download the software you may need from MSI's website? I'm not sure if this would work, but it would be what I would try next.

What kind of USB A adapter do you have there? Do you think its possible to move the USB port from front to back on this unit?

I used a USB right-angle adapter from Amazon, it's quite generic and can be found from a bunch of different brands. I don't think you can move the USB port to the back though, although I imagine you could route a cable around the dash.

will the recovery media allow you to connect to one drive if you have your backups stored there or will you need to find a way to copy it locally first before attempting a boot media restore?

Yes, you can manually specify the backup location on the restore if it is not automatically detected. All you need to do is select Browse on the screen at 6:49 to do that.

Yep you can, you may have problems with the first method if your computer is corrupt but you can use any Windows PC to create a USB if you need to.

The first option is definitely much easier. I prefer the USB as it is faster and prefer to have things completely fresh with the latest version of Windows downloaded with the tool.

I have tried Rufus 4.5 and 4.3 and there is no dropdown option to download. I must be doing something wrong but what?

How peculiar, I did this only a couple of weeks ago more recently and the download option was there. You don't have to download the ISO through Rufus (I believe!), so you should be able to download it from Microsoft and then select the Windows ISO in Rufus and still be presented with the options - www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 Hope this helps.

Try to find one today; it's proving impossible. Would you happen to know of a different brand keyboard that is like this masterpiece? I live for these low set keys and couldn't live without the wrist rest either. I also like that i'm able to grip it on the sides for when I set it aside. I don't know why it is but gamers seem to want "mechanical?" keyboards. I like this board - my hands are rested by my not having to lift my fingers up in the air to press a key. I game with mine just fine. Anyways, thought you might know of a modern keyboard(no mouse needed) that has the characteristics as this 800 model. Cheers

I recall reading that Microsoft has stepped back from making keyboard and mouse hardware unfortunately. Whilst not the same, the closest recommendation I could probably suggest is the Logitech MK540.

If you had an activated copy of Windows 10 it should automatically detect it, but if not you can enter the product key in the settings app.

Quick question! When I have the speakers set to the lowest possible volume, they're still quite loud and I cannot figure out how to adjust this. Has anyone else had this issue? The lowest sound setting almost sounds like it's already up 5 or 6 notches. Is there a way to calibrate this? Thanks

If you delete the existing partitions on your system drive, you should be able to then install to the empty space in the list. Deleting partitions is the equivalent of deleting data so ensure any files you want to keep are backed up!

And, since I seem to be limited on installing sw (keep getting error messages), I may have to try an ISO file or similar. (Cause: the ol' laptop hinge cracked case is affecting hdd & windows install. For some reason, all recovery options affected. Strange.)

Yes, if you use the USB method and delete all the partitions it will delete Atlas, please note that this will delete all the data on the computer.

Hello, Thank you for your help, I made a blunder, I didn't copy the content on NTFS and formatted the drive with the content on it. I knew you had explained this step in the first few minutes of the video. Is there a way to retrieve that content back on the drive or is it completely gone?

Unfortunately not, once the drive has been reformatted and installed to it would be very difficult to recover the data.

Unfortunately i bought for my car which working with some extra speakers 2 amps and a subwoofer but the sub sound is so poor i changed it with a kenwood 2 din with 4v pre out (10year old )and the sound become amazing and too much power

You will need to use a Windows-based computer to do this. You can use any Windows computer, so you could use a friend or relative’s (for example)
