Hi, could I use this glue to transfer foil within a project please, or do I need something else? When it says tacky does that mean it dries tacky? Thanks

At 1:56, you brushed a box to put paper on it. After you do this, how long (how many years?) will it stay on? I'm going to glue water color paintings to old cigar boxes (paper stripped off) and hope the paper will stay glued to the box for a long time.

You can buy screw on caps too in assorted sizes.. for smoother decoupage use a brayer..

Does this work on plastic and metal? I have some plastic resin pins and the pin came apart from the resin design. Can I use this to glue them back together?
@luvurobert5 ай бұрын
I guess my bottle was too old, because I went to use it and the plastic nozzle tip completely crumbled apart. Then the tiny cap didn't form a good seal causing the glue to gunk up. ☹

I got this because my contact paper won't stick, I hope it works. I was going to go with the Elmers or the Scotch tacky glue but I wanted to try this one first.

How do you keep the glue from getting all gummed up I have some and I have not used it in a while and I will not squeeze out of the bottle
@TulipColorCrafts7 жыл бұрын
Hi Trina ... Definitely make sure the cap has been cleared of all dried glue; you can try soaking it in warm water and using a pin to clear away the clog. You can also try adding a little bit of water to the glue inside the bottle and using a skewer to mix it around and thin the glue out a bit. Add water in small amounts until you can get the glue back to a manageable consistency. We hope this helps! Let us know how it goes and if there is anything else we can help with!

Thank you for making this video! I bought tacky glue to make a design on some ribbon. The ribbon is for a graduation cap. I plan to use hot glue for the square part of the cap but wasn’t sure how to exactly use the tacky glue to make a design on ribbon. Anyways thanks again!

Hi, is this glue good for quickly tacking together two pieces of material to be sewn together? I want to hem a long piece of material so as to put a pull-tie through the hem and be able to cinch it up and around a seat in a car. I want to use glue instead of pins to do this. thanks!

kathy loften: I realize you asked a ? 2 yrs. ago, I just now watched video. Incase you have another project similar or same as- here what i would recommend you to use. ( Heat n Bond ULTRAHOLD _iron-on adhesive) It's fast, easy & simple to use! Great for all types of projects or crafts if don't want to sew or wait on glue to dry. Iron much cleaner, easier & faster using this stuff. Hope this helps.

will it help the cap I did put a little bit of water inside the bottle and kind of screwed it all up but when I squeeze it out it still it still really is just too old maybe your can I just soak it in some really hot water sorry to ask so many questions I I have not used the stuff before
@TulipColorCrafts7 жыл бұрын
Hi Trina ... it's okay! You can ask as many questions as you need to! =) There's a chance that the glue is just too old and can't be saved. Glues can definitely dry out and lose their ability to work, especially if the cap isn't tightly secured or there's a leak somewhere on the bottle and air gets in. At this point, it might be better to start fresh with a new bottle of glue.

all i want to do is put some glitter on my shirt. can i use this glue on my shirt or do i have to go back to the store
@TulipColorCrafts6 жыл бұрын
Hi there ... you'll want to use a glue that is made to dry permanently on fabric. Original Tacky Glue can be used on non-washable fabrics, but if you are planning on washing your shirt you'll want to go with a glue made specially for fabric. Here is a link to a variety of fabric glues made by Aleene's, most of which are permanent on fabric: aleenes.com/fabric-glues ... we hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi, could I use this glue to transfer foil within a project please, or do I need something else? When it says tacky does that mean it dries tacky? Thanks Margaret
@ilovetocreate68687 жыл бұрын
Hi Margaret ... Yes, you should be able to use Tacky Glue to transfer foil within your project. It's called Tacky Glue because of it's thick, fast-tacking formula that's great for grabbing items on contact and holding them in place with a super strong hold. It will dry permanent and very strong! Please let us know if you have any other questions!

Everytime I cut the top everything oozes out at once, what’s the best way to cut the top without this
@TheCherokee635 жыл бұрын
Cass Barron: I don't cut tops off glue bottles . The hole ends up being to big. I use a hot paperclip to make hole in glue tips. Doing this gives you the advantage to make it as small or big as you need it..I was taught this trick yrs. ago.

@@TheCherokee63 I recently started crafting projects and I bought this glue. I came to YT to look for the best way of opening the top. I needed a smallish opening and scissors would make it too big. Your tip is brilliant. I just did it and it works like a charm. A Big Thank you. 😊
