How to adjust a Med Spec℠ ASO Ankle Brace
This video highlights one way to apply the ankle brace. If the injury is an inversion injury, the most common of ankle injuries, where the ankle rolled out, over the foot, the sprain,strain,tear or weakness is on that lateral aspect of the ankle. This video shows the best way to secure the ankle with that type of injury by wrapping the inside strap and securing it to the outer or lateral portion of the ankle.
Then securing the second strap, the lateral strap and securing it to the inside or medial portion of the ankle. This is a similar technique to taping and will secure the ankle to both secure and prevent ankle rolling.
You would reverse the strap order if it was an eversion injury.
