Thanks for the Awesome and informative video. I had never really thought about doing a carbon fiber laminate as opposed to a full on molded part. Just ordered a ton of materials and will be trimming out the interior of my grand Cherokee in carbon.

I made a carbon fiber hood skin for a 90's GM truck and it weighs 8 lbs. The hard part is the under-structure. I'm making it right now. You really need to be relaxed and patient when you do this. Currently, I'm worried that because I didn't put filler wax on the lip between the structure and hood skin, so my structure may be permanently stuck to the hood I'm using as a mold. I put on a thick coat of PVA, but that doesn't mean I'm in the clear just yet. Wish me luck!

@@PetesGarage I got the piece to separate! It took about 8 minutes with a pressure washer. It shoots foam from all the cracks where it's separated. If I had just put seam sealing wax on all of the cracks, it would have popped right off. If it wasn't for your video on fiberglass, and the folks from Street Bandito on youtube, I'd have probably never done a carbon hood.

Pete, I realize you work with EFI, but is there any chance you can do a proper tutorial on tuning a Carburetor, and explain how it functions, etc. There are allot of video's on the subject but I feel like your methodology is superior in explaining things. And if possible talk about the old-school poorly designed/run gas lines. Experiencing that with my kids new (classic car). No joke, the fuel line is run under the engine and up the front of the engine (with metal fuel lines) that sit on top of the engine. We're working on rerouting them to come across from fender to carb directly. Hoping to avoid heat soak and vapor lock lock issues. All kinds of issues being experienced because of the artificially high pressure built up from heat.

‏ I decided with your video For the first time, I bought carbon fiber fabric and epoxy resin. Can I make the spoiler of my car carbon fiber? Please, someone who knows, tell me the simple steps of the work. I have seen a video on KZfaq. Where should I do it? How many times and how many layers should I apply epoxy after gluing the carbon fiber? And my spoiler has color, do I have to remove the color completely or is it enough to sand it so that scratches are created? Thank you for your help

@@PetesGarage right thanks, for the message, I have a car spoiler that I spray painted a few months ago, now I decided to make it complete with carbon fiber cloth and epoxy resin, should I completely remove the rust of the spoiler or sand it along that line? Is it enough to make a scratch?
