I think you need an immigration advisor as I am not an immigration advisor or consultant. However, I will share my suggestion on this. I would state it in the form that my child doesn’t have grandparents and we don’t know their details but I had to include something to pass through that stage of application because it won’t let me. It means that while filling your own visa or anything to do with the home office you should use the same details and the same explanations. I would add this explanation at the end of the form where they ask for any other supporting information.

Leave to enter is given to someone entering the borders especially when you pass through border clearance. It so permission to enter or stay in the UK. Leave to remain is what someone gets that allows them to stay in the UK for a limited period of time. All the best!

I don’t think the application can be processed without birth registration certificate. You need to Google, FormT and MN1 on the UK government website. Read about both forms for registration to know which one best applies to your baby’s situation. Then complete the registration form and submit it. On the government website, you will see both free and paid immigration lawyer support if you need it. If you need fee-waiver, you can follow the instructions and apply for it. You can also call the government phone number on the website to know which decision best suits you. You have to complete the birth registration and provide the supporting documents required and then the government has to approve it before you apply for your baby’s British passport. Naturalisation in the UK context means British citizenship. When you apply for citizenship through naturalisation you will need to show that you meet their eligibility criteria for British citizenship.

Hi, The documents you need to send to the Home office will differ from applicant to applicant. In our case, it was the birth registration documents for both child and parent with British citizen. Don’t send any document until you receive the message to do so. It states the exact documents you should get. I am a bit confused on how you are a British citizen but you have a BRP card. I think you need to visit the government website and ask them. Hi, You have to put in an application for your twins and they have to be in the UK when you do so. It depends on whether your husband is British by birth or by naturalisation. If your husband is British by birth, your twins will be British automatically. Therefore you can apply for British passport. However, if your husband is British by another means, you will have to apply for your twins to be British citizens first. Once that has been approved then you can apply for their first British passport. Congratulations on your twins! If the parent is a British citizen, then all you need to do is get your child’s birth registration document from the council and apply for his/her British passport. However, if the parents have indefinite leave to remain, you need to do a birth registration and certificate on the government website. Hi, This depends on your circumstances. The right supporting documents you should send will be indicated on the online portal after you must have completed the application. In my case, they were birth certificates of my child and husband. I sent original certificates. @@yushind2156 It took 16 days after I sent the supporting documents via post for the British passport to arrive to my home. It took 28 days from the date I submitted my baby’s application. Remember that it took a while for the confirmation of identity and for me to submit my supporting documents through post. I hope this helps you.

I was not asked those questions when I filled the application. If the naturalisation of your baby is through baby’s grandparents then it is understandable why they would want that. I suggest you ask baby’s grandparents to ask for another birth certificate. You can ask for birth records in the UK. Contact your local authority in the county of birth and they could assist you.
