Once you create an UKVI account, might take a couple days (for me 3 weeks) before the form appeared. Had already received 2 reminders to complete and each time there was no 'form' to start the process. Be patient, log in after couple days or week and see if it appears. Elsewhere here and other videos users are asked to re-install app, think this is unnecessary. So be patient. When it comes to using the App, make sure the phone settings allow for NFC (contactless payment) and this is enabled, the app is allowed to access camera too. Also, if you have a phone protector, remove it when you scanning the chip otherwise you will do this a dozen time each failing. All the best all!

An update: Even after going through the 'marathon' of setting up, got the email saying 'view evisa' but logged in and again, nothing showed. Patience once again and just logged in after couple days and the end game is here.

When scanning the chip I recommend you open your window,make every as bright as possible,make sure your camera is placed directly on the chip,just make your camera be direct on the chip no gaps.. It’s really easy than you think

I don’t know. 🤷🏽♀️ You can ask the government this question if you wait for the other emails and it doesn’t come in a few days or weeks. I don’t believe that that it would be one email sent for the whole family because every family member’s visa application is treated separately. All the best! All the best!

What happens if you are at security at the airport and they ask to view your e visa but you do not have network access? Is there a way to save your e visa for offline access ?

Hi my phone couldn't scan qr code for immigration id confirmation which was quite frustrating, option says i can used someone else's phone for id check confirmation app which can be deleted once completed which i did exactly .Later my friend has trouble in own application when confirming his id check in immigration id check app as his phone was used to linked with my id check confirmation earlier 😢.please suggest what should he do

I don’t know what to suggest right now except try repeating the process. Contact the eVisa department to make a complaint. Follow any instructions you find in an email sent to you by the Home Office. The instructions will differ based on your status in the UK. For my daughter 7 years after completing the chip scanning it is taking me automatically to take the photo and face scanning and at the beginning it says less than 9 do not need photo So do I need to provide my photo here ? I am confused Please explain

@@elsiep.betonio4908 I don’t have any idea why this is the case. You can patiently try another day. If the problem persists after a week, contact the eVisa department. @@oluwatoyeoluwadare3623 If you are sure you completed all the sections including declarations before submitting, then you might have to wait. It took only 1 minute to receive both emails. Perhaps yours will take longer. I would sign in and check again. Please note that I am not an immigration advisor. I am sharing my opinion on the matter. Kindly share with us how you resolved it. It might help someone else going through the same thing. All the best!

I have followed the steps to create my eVisa account and all went well until i got the 'view you evisa account' email- It says I can't view it yet. I will have to contact them soon to check why they have not sent me the invite email yet! not much is left till Dec 2024. Has any one not received the invite email please? thank you

Did you get a “View your eVisa” email but when you click on the link in the email, it is not allowing you to view it? Are you asking whether others got an invitation to Convert your BRP to an eVisa? If so, yes, I got it and showed it at the beginning of this video.

You don't need to have an email from them asking you to create evisa before u do it. I know people who have already done it even with getting an email to do so

They said you have to do so when they have set it up and sent you an email. That is the instruction on their website. Of course some people are successful when they didn’t wait for the email. But if you read this comment section, you will see some people complaining of having no form when they try to set it up without the email. I wouldn’t suggest people should go against the instructions because there is still enough time till December 2024 unless it is urgent. All the best.

It's beyond a joke. I registered using my BRP. when it comes to scanning my BRP card, the shite system tells me I'm using the wrong document. Seriously?

@@Blueturvo_xdlol It is advised that you wait for an email from the Home Office before you start the process. If the form to link your eVisa is not showing then it might be because you didn’t wait until the Home Office set up your application at the back end.

Hi Cynthia , I have recently applied for an extension of there present visa with the ID check app ? For some reason my full name is coming in the surname section leaving the given name section absolutely blank . Not sure if anyone else faced this issue as well. Can we edit this later in our Application? Would this be a problem ? Thanks

That might be the reason. It is advised that you wait until you receive an email from Home Office. I guess that they are rolling it out gradually throughout the year. Check whether all the options on the last page of the application are green and ticked before you submit. All the best!

Hi Cynthia, I am a student and my visa is supposed to end in 2 years. But on my BRP it shows that it ends this December 2024. But when I am completing this form online, it says my brp expires in December as well. Is that fine?

Yes, you are meant to include the date on your BRP card (December 2024) but when you create your eVISA and UKVI account, it should be able to state that your eVisa will end in 2 years and not December 2024. All BRP cards will end in December 2024. If you are confused, please contact the government as I am not an immigration advisor. All the best!

Hi To be sincere, I don’t know. I know that your passport still remains your most important travel document and that by linking your BRP to your eVisa, the immigration authorities can access your visa status through your passport or BRP details. I don’t think you have anything to worry about once you convert your BRP to an eVisa. The UK government wants to save some money from print new BRP cards especially when everything can be accessed via na online portal. All the best!

Contact the government if you are in doubt. Kindly share how you resolved it. @@rinchhensherpa6972 I am a bit confused. Did you download the “UK immigration: ID check” app? Does it look like the app icon in this video? Do you mean that the app on your phone doesn’t provide you the option of choosing what means you would like to connect with your application? QR Code or Connection code? Please what this video again slowly so that you know what you need to expect. Note when I decide to switch to the application on the laptop and when I switched to the UK immigration: ID check app. Perhaps you need to uninstall it and reinstall it again. All the best!

It is a tough one. I would suggest that you wait since the deadline will be December 2024 and there is still time. You can call the government to ask. In my opinion, you should receive two emails. Some people claimed they were successful without waiting for the email and some others observed some difficulties when they started without receiving the email. Oh dear! That was my main challenge. Make sure your phone is amongst the required brands they asked. You can borrow someone’s phone to do I assume. When you get to that stage, first place the phone of the BRP, once it tells you to move it, move the phone slowly on the body of the BRP so that it can detect the chip, once it detects the chip and states that you should leave it, do so. The green bar will keep increasing until it completely reads the chip. I hope this helps! All the best!

@@cintiamorato8940 Place your BRP on a table with no shadows. Then place your phone on the BRP when the UKVI application states you should do so. Make sure it covers the BRP. When the UKVI application prompts you to do so, move the phone slowly and stop when it says “reading card, don’t move it” with a green bar. If this doesn’t work, try another phone or your passport.
