Hi David, Rob here, just to point out those "bleeps and bloops" you mention were the old SMPTE audio timecode coming off tape. MIDI timecode (MTC) is totally different.

Is it possible to store a midi time code in to a midi file whithin all the others informations (program changes, midi note, exc...)?

As far as I know, you need to keep timecode on it's own MIDI interface

No, because it is a real time generated function. The timecode starts when you play the MIDI file, and stops when you stop it, that way other software knows where you are in the track. Consider it like the digital version of a tape counter on a cassette deck or VCR.

How do you receive timecode on an onyx console?? I have an m2go and I want to receive timecode from ableton.

You can send it over Art-Net Timecode from a lot of sources, the consoles also have (or can have) timecode cards with SMPTE inputs (XLR), or I believe you can use an NX-Sync with the consoles.
