Labor takes time. Let's face it. All of us desire a short labor, but sometimes our #babies may need a little more time than others. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. Like they say, "Labor is a marathon and not a sprint."
So, how do we continue along the marathon without stopping (or stalling) and what can we do to avoid stalls? Because again, we ideally don't want to labor longer than our baby needs us to.
In this video, I am going to teach you the 5 most common reasons labor stalls and how you can avoid them.

Good tips! Thanks! Sometimes women are stalled in labor because something’s going on with the baby that they don’t know about. There could be something Stopping the baby from descending into the pelvis, sometimes it’s worth doing an ultrasound to find out because it may be an emergency situation in some cases.

Watching your videos has made me feel so sad about how unhelpful the staff was at my hospital. I already wasnt a fan of them because they werent the most friendly, they were all actually a bit rude. But I've learned so much helpful advice for my second baby to try to avoid a repeat c section from you. Meanwhile the hospital staff, not one person was helpful or kind. It left a pretty bad taste in my mouth to go back and deliver my next baby. But i know i dont have much of a choice but to go back unfortunately. I have read that you shouldn't have a home birth if you had a previous c section because you need monitored more. And my hospital doesnt allow you to consume anything except for ice. I was starving during my 27 hour labor before my c section.

I still ate with my son bc I heard that wasn't good for labor. I am 40+3 water just broke about to head to hospital but I have snacks packed (walnuts and pumpkin seeds).

When I had my daughter. They told me that the fluids in my sac was low so I had to get induced Is that because I wasn’t drinking enough water ? Or can that naturally happen

My new fear= I have seen twice now, women describe contractions as charley horses.. Not Cool. How am I supposed to breath & relax through a charley horse of my uterus/abdomen?!
@awerkingmama

It's actually a lot easier than you think when you are prepared for it. So many of my clients have manageable births and never describe contractions like this. I'd love to help you through this fear!

I think bc charlie horses take all your attention and focus... You almost freeze up but you can breathe through a charlie horses just like contractions. We just need the skills to do so

I think its best to avoid the hospitals! The only valid reason why a woman needs to go to the hospital is when a woman and the baby are in immediate danger or life threatening situations that present from the very beginning of pregnancy. Another valid reason is the possibility the baby is not breathing correctly. And this could easily be reduced by everyone on the birth team included the dad and the rest of the family to be trained to carry out CPR! Given the numerous horrors stories coming out of th hospital I would wager to say that giving birth in a birth centre or at home is a safer option! Finding a good safe hospital is like playing russian roulette. So it begs the question: why gamble with your life or your baby's by taking a chance at the hospital?
