How to back flush your radiator and engine at home with minimal tools

All the mechanical repairs and services I do are done in our back yard.
I was installing Evans Waterless Coolant and even though it did not realy need it I bacķ flushed the radiator and engine.
This can also be done while the radiator is still installed.
So join me on my mechanical adventures so you have the confidence to have your own.

Well if you want to do a good job you need to it right. You can do the same with the radiator in but it will not be as good a job.

Hey mate, were you pissed in the first segment lol? Anyway, it looks like a good way to do it. My problem is I had the transmission oil leak into the radiator and contaminated the whole water system. I had a new radiator fitted and he back flushed, but do a lousy job cause there is still plenty og pink goo (oil I think) mixing in the water, and the temps are higher than normal still. Think I will do it again myself using dishwashig liquid that should loosen up the oil a bit... what you think tiger?

Pissed nah mate don't touch the stuff just high on life ohhh and sometimes painkillers. Sound like you still have a flow problem. New thermostat for starters but to clean it remove thermostat replace housing and buy a flush solution or stuff called bilge cleaner works well diluted down some. Take it for a run and give the whole system including heater core a flush. Install new thermostat fill with coolant and you should be fine. If not you have other problems. Regards Rik
