Actually, I disagree. You have to be there for them whenever* they* need and not whenever you feel like it. The thing what you're saying is something equal as not caring. Your friend needs a crying shoulder right now. What's the point of being available tomorrow?

@@mabe1272 I think what OP means is like others said maintaining healthy boundaries. Ex.: I read somewhere the suggestion that if you're in need of a shoulder to cry on, ask the person you want to talk to something like "Are you in a good mental place right now to let me vent?" Obviously you prob. aren't going to ask that if you're in a crisis, but that's a different scenario. In that case then yes you should help the person in any way that's within your scope of ability, even if it means sending them to someone else who can help. Otherwise, by asking that question, if they say "no," you're not stressing them out, and you're not wasting your own time talking to someone who can't help or won't listen (or just doesn't care). Like finding the right balance between keeping boundaries and being supportive.

While physical appearance plays a role, your thoughts and how you carry yourself are the dominant power behind attractiveness. Be Real! A lot of people hide their true-self by putting on a false persona. When you do this, you not only obstruct your true self, but you also create false relationships. Those who are true to themselves are inherently more attractive. There’s no reason to hide your faults or pretend they don’t exist. Embrace your true qualities; no one expects you to be perfect.

Exactly. But don't let your flaws dominate you either. You still have to try do your own side of the relationship (as much as you can handle), and you need to make sure your treat your partner well. As someone with kin who was in a bad relationship, it's not healthy by any chance of it to have only one person do the work. Forgive yourself if you do mess up, but work to improve to make the both of you happy.
@underratedbones6515

But what happens if the person your attractive to expects you to be like them when it comes to their interest and what they like to do?
@keegans.969
@keegans.969 2 жыл бұрын
@@underratedbones6515 I can understand if you both want to find common ground and it's good to explore interests, but if you're ever forced to change or be someone you want to be, leave. In relationships both people should still have degrees of separation, and be their own people. You should be able to disagree on things, and if that was a serious situation then you both should be able to compromise. And well... I know this isn't what you asked but if affection is withheld when you do something they don't want and you get showed with that when you do something they want, *don't* stay. It's a manipulation tactic, and if they don't change after that's pointed out or try to guilt you then that's more reason to go. Sorry, I probably misunderstood the question, but I hope that helps at least somewhat.

But not everybody is worthy to be listened to. I tend to give anyone a try and if i see a result that satisfies me I'll keep helping them. This, exactly. I hang around in quite a few vent channels and while there are some who are extremely active elsewhere and just vent when overwhelmed or vent only once to get it out, there are many who don't do anything other than that and complain about trivial things. Ultimately, help others as well as you can but have your own time to heal and form relationships that are more than "I take their bad feelings and work onto me."

One thing that I find extremely helpful is listening to self-love subliminals, and making a list of things I like about myself. I am _constantly_ shifting my view of myself, like it's a light switch that goes on and off and on and off. Subliminals are affirmations (positive messages) that are below our conscious hearing, so even if your conscious mind can slightly hear them, you cant decifer them. Music is usually put on top of them to block them out. The messages go past your conscious mind (which would usually deny them as not true) and go straight to your subconscious mind. When these affirmations are repeated, your subconscious starts accepting them as true and you start changing to fit them. I doubt it works with physical characteristics, such as eye color or face shape. But it helps so much with things like making you appear more attractive, giving a boost of confidence, increasing motivation, and even attracting soulmates (unless you're aroace.)
