Did you know that little things like being able to paraphrase what someone says or showing them that you like them, can be highly attractive. Open body language, having confidence, mirroring, and talking about your flaws are other ways to be more attractive as well. Though attraction is in the eyes of the beholders, these little things can make you more likeable. As long as you do it in discretion.

I'm discovering that people like me when I do what they want, but they second I enforce already spoken boundaries, I'm the bad person. And when I attempt to paraphrase to understand, I treated like I wasn't listening. I snipped at. So done trying or worrying about whether or not someone likes me.
@Anove.
@Anove. 2 жыл бұрын
I'm going to be straight, if they can't take your boundaries, then those aren't the people you should care about whether or not they like you. Seems like you got that down. And you probably already understand this, but I'm going to say it anyway, still try to make new friends with people. You'll find someone that respects your boundaries, and if you respect that person's boundaries as well, you can be really tight friends.

@@t3nkko I'm too embarrassed to say it because it was my stupidity. After our last chat, I kept trying to forget that stupidity and focus on improving but it's not easy for me. Sometimes I still remember it and make my day bad. What I have to do?
@DavidCastillaGil
@DavidCastillaGil 2 жыл бұрын
@@putroy something similar, in that I'm embarrased of the details, happened to me a couple of weeks ago. There's this female friend of fime, and we were talking as usual, I dropped a naughty joke and she reacted very badly and stopped talking to me for weeks. I was feeling very bad, because I didn't mean to hurt or disappoint her. We've been actually joking like this for years, and we had some arguments before, but we were always direct and clear in what bothered us so it was easy to pick up learn and continue. But this time though, I noticed a subtle difference. When she returned to the convo, she didn't even recognize what happened, which makes me realize it was her 'fault' that she took it so seriously that time. Otherwise, she'd be willing to explain what I did. All in all, it's fine to reflect on our actions and understand and improve on our behaviour or reactions, but we're not the only ones responsible for keeping it friendly, so don't throw all the pressure on you. Remember they should have at least some if not half the interest in making it work for both, otherwise it will be overwhelming for a single one to carry the whole relationship.

@patootie3529
@patootie3529 2 жыл бұрын
hey man. if u have never tried to court her in the first place it's probably a massive reason why she rejected u. if people don't show u initial attraction u have to create it before even asking them out, otherwise it's comparable to an advertisement that u just want to skip, unless that lucky advertisement actually makes u interested in their product, u know what I mean? in my experience I've also been rejected before but with persistence she eventually fell in love with me and we dated, for example. however it was easier because I had just met her and went straight to it because I thought she was really beautiful. we're still friends until now even though we broke up but some experiences coming out of that I learned it may be harder to court someone u're already really close friends with since u have established together subconsciously that you're only close friends, which is why my ex, though she didn't have initial attraction at first, never saw me as a friend but a romantic option from the start. but I wish u luck with her or any other u are interested in

Hey I’m really sorry to hear that, but it will get better and you’ll find someone else. I’ve had a crush on my best friend for over a year and Im contemplating telling her how I feel but I’m scared of ruining the friendship or making things weird at all. I’ve heard that some people are glad they confessed their feelings in similar scenarios though, and I was wondering if you’re somewhat relieved now as well?
@MehrzweckKarton
@MehrzweckKarton 2 жыл бұрын
@@Bianca-df9pz well, I can definitely say that I feel relieved, of course it hurts, but that feeling of being "free" is there. I know it will take some time before I'm completely over it, but I don't regret anything. I'm not an expert, but if you've really had a crush on her for over a year now I'd say take some time to really think about if you actually still would want that relationship or not. If your answer is yes, then just go for it, but keep in mind that if she does reject you, you're not the only one whose feelings are "hurt". She will probably also feel bad for "hurting" you, as you seem to be best friends. Long story short, go for it!

I'm distrustful because of all the people who hurt me, I don't talk much about myself and keep on thinking they only need my presence when they want something from me and then I'm free to leave when they're fed up with me. That's how it's always been and I'm not surprised I don't have any friends or a s/o.

It's important to remember who you're going to spill your flaws and secrets at. Some people just love to make a living hell out of your life, to humiliate you, to see you go down. Not all are worth trust or worth to get to know the real you. Not all will like you either, no matter what you do.

People hated me whenever I did anything to gain their trust and friendship. Never listened when I tried to speak to them. Never respect me and my opinions. It makes no sense trying to figure out on people. They hate, me and that's all. Whatever I do.

u may do all these but these are just tips. not everything. but getting better is very doable. u just have to know how to. idk what u're missing so I can't tell u but you'll be able to figure it out. generally speaking though, if uve ever done it, don't rely on ur new acquaintances for happiness. being rlly clingly like that and worshipping them too much or even worse, wanting them to worship u with all their time, is really really bad

Hi Psych2Go! I know you get a ton of comments each day, but I was wondering if you might be able to cover a specific topic in a future video. I often struggle with a bit of social anxiety and feel awkward in situations. Would you be able to make a video about overcoming awkwardness?

I'm in a complicated situation I've been dating for over 1 year, and it seems like nothing has changed since we were just friends, I love him, but still, I don't know if it's really a crush, What makes it even more difficult is the fact that it's a long-distance relationship I don't know if it will last long, and I think it would be the best choice to move on and try something new, but I don't know how.

Subtle signs to get people to like you: 1)Don't be afraid to talk about your flaws. 2)Keep their secrets and share 1 of yours 3)Mirror their body 4)tell them you like them 5)start deep conversations and let them know you where listening by summerising their opinion (not too much or in a weird way) 6) display open body language and confidence.

I actually just figured out that I am not good at loving people because of my trauma from my childhood. It disables me in ways that cause me to not be able to live and when I want to live I end up avoiding it. So love for me is amazing but tough to go through at the same time. This has lead me to believe that I have a fearful-avoidance attachment style. Has anyone else had this experience?🤔
