6:59 I hate it when people give the "Just shoot them in the leg" argument. The reason people train to shoot center mass is b/c it's the easiest thing to hit. When you're full of adrenaline fine motor skills go out the window. So aiming for extremities is easier said than done. Also there are these things in the arms and legs called arteries. Granted they're already in a hospital so getting shot in an artery might be more survivable. Either way your arms and legs aren't just meat sticks.

Iirc police are trained to NOT try to go for the arms or legs and that's for two reasons: 1. They're much harder to hit accurately 2. Adrenaline and (when applicable) drugs can keep someone going despite the pain or make them not feel it at all so the threat could still be there. Sounds like it would be dumb for an officer to try to shoot an extremity in a life or death situation, for him, for his coworkers, and for potential civilians too.

I love that after like 70,000 years of hominid evolution. . . We still get to solve most issues by either kicking the shit out of it or lighting it on fire. . . Say what you will, but humans are dope lol

The Mutants of Death are fierce and bold. They can’t easily be overpowered by another presumably strong entity.

Also as far as the firearm goes, coming from someone who trained in them, you aim center mass because there’s more stopping power into a broader surface and it’s more likely you’ll hit your target. Not only are arms or legs hard enough to hit, but add cortisol and your aim becomes about 10x less accurate due to wobble. It’s why police always aim center mass. Less risk of hitting a bystander and more stopping power against your target.

Idk if it’s explained in the movie and just not here but if Simon and Vincent were trying to kill James and James and that chick ended up at that cult house to get drugs. What were Simon and Vincent doing at that home? Was it theirs? Are they in the cult? Why and how did they end up there? And maybe I missed this but when was Allison dans wife?

Say what you will, but I almost cheered when he full on tackled the doctor into the portal. It seems less epic if he hedged and tried to just push him through. It was a complete and utter kamikaze attack to save the world. So badass.

The Void is One of those Mind F###/Lovecraft/Scifi/Horror Movie ever and I did watching this movie on The CW Network since I was a teenager.

As an American, one thing I know about guns is that if you’ve pulled your weapon, you do NOT shoot to injure-you shoot to kill. You shoot for center mass. Though take my word with a grain of salt, bc I’m that one psycho at the gun range who always shoots for the dick on the paper target. Like they say, aim small, miss small 😂😂

One thing I’ve learned from movies like this… if something CRAZY is going on and you don’t want people to think you’re insane or drugged up for reacting to it (man who spazzes when he sees the doctor) be calm about it. You see other people so either they’re working together in which case you cant do anything or they’re not working together so you can say “listen I’m of sound mind and I’m on no drugs” and then explain what’s going on. Best chance of getting genuine help in my opinion

If I was in this situation I would use compression bandages to strap the hospital pillows to my body so when I go outside the cult stabs won't affect me then take one of the guns and go to the other hospital for help or use one of the cars

When you say you have a gut instinct that the doctor is behind it all...I think what you mean to say is, "I've watched this movie already."

The whole "shoot to wound" is such an idiotic concept. If any of you need to shoot someone, it is best to end that encounter as quickly as possible. Any other way is less than ideal, as it exposes you to more risk.

This one is a very cool movie. It's like Ash Williams' dark fantasy fever dream where he forgot his chainsaw. The characters surely were a bit on the retarded side, and not pulling the 'Drive Angry' car rampage scene on the cultists was certainly a big L. Still, the whole thing didn't cross the levels of the proverbial human-monkey hybrid ecstatically perpetuated by the horror movies. And the mashup of Evil Dead with the bestiary of the classic Splatterhouse games series and a few ideas gleaned from the venerable H.P.Lovecraft, - is a huge plus. A sequel would be nice!

Well my first step would be to stare into the abyss, because abyss is a frequently used as a synonym for void, and they say that if you stare long enough into the abyss, the abyss stares back. So with this knowledge, i would attempt to beat the abyss in a staring contest. If it seems like i might lose partway through i would then switch to plan B, and attempt to seduce the abyss by using my unspoken rizz "severe mental illness." This will either make the abyss fall madly in love with me, or make it extremely uncomfortable. Either way i would now be in a position to keep myself alive because the abyss would now be in love with me and unable to kill me, or so uncomfortable that it lets me leave, simply to avoid being around me and my godly unspoken rizz.

Now no offense to this channel and others like it, but I can never get past some of these comments because most of them come from the blessing of knowing whats happening( I know there's a word for it but cant remember. Obviously, if you know what's happening, yeah, the fact that the moment james sow the doctor he flipped out is suspicious, but without that knowledge, you'd just think it's weird. And most of these assume the characters are geniuses who can spot everything and can put together the craziest scenarios with next to no evidence.
