Holy smokes that was epic! Perfect how the last card you pulled was “focused” for fight 1, which is what described your game. So many times I thought you were a goner but you pulled it out. Amazing!

It is important to keep the card you draw for free on the left. "1 x below the pile" exchanges the chosen card with a free one if the chosen card was from the left side.

Thanks for a great video. I won against the pirates yesterday, and was so happy and excited, so was afraid I might had done anything wrong. But I played it same way. Even watching makes you feel the excitement

You don’t have to lose the life from the aging card until the very end (if it’s still around) when you resolve the success or failure. 25:29 You could have destroyed it and never lost the life.

Oh this was very exciting indeed. Most of the videos I have watched never get to the pirates. Okay, I am going to give it another go tomorrow.

I'm glad I found this video when I did! It was possibly the first playthrough of this game that I saw where someone won. I've since found a couple others though they mostly seem to be played on the easiest level. I'm currently trying to breakthrough on Level 3 difficulty and wonder if you've been back to the game recently and had any success in the more difficult levels.

(Sorry - Got my videos mixed up again, sometimes YT attributes comments to the wrong video, it’s weird..) I’ve only ever lost on the higher difficulties haha - I find getting the balance of scrapping the bad cards really hard, it feels like just getting anything into your hand is imperative..! Maybe if I gain a boost of confidence at some point I’ll give it another play through on a harder level 🙂 Thank you for watching.

Ehmm... I seem to remember that when fighting the pirates one must pay two food from the reserve to draw extra cards... Anyhow, really nice playthrough and fun to watch. Who knows maybe I'll do my own run on camera

You're right, 2 life points to draw 1 card.

That's only the case on 1 pirate with that special ability.

Would the doubles with the pirates plus 1 make the 4s to a 5 which double to a 10?

I think you absolutely could do it that way, yes. This is one of the best parts of the game imo, where you get to find the most efficient way to combine your cards for max points. 😊 thank you for watching.

First of all, nice gameplay 😊 Second, I don't think you can add plus 1 like that because you need to add the every plus 1 for each fighting card at the end of your play (after resolving the card abilities). At least this is how I understand from the rule 😊
