Always gotta love it when someone has the sensible idea of terminating the infected survivor before they turn and become a much bigger problem, only for the other survivors to then retaliate and chain the person up in proximity of the infected one, condemning them to a fate they don't deserve for frankly doing what one of them is inevitably going to have to anyway. In this case it just happened to turn out the guy who pointed it out was an asshole.

One stop every 12 minutes, very close to London, the capital of the entire country, and somehow these werewolves aren’t close enough to civilization to be noticed. If there’s an average of 12 minutes between stops the wolves are probably 6 train minutes away from some village at most!

If I were in this situation, my first stop would be the supply closet, as there are typically enough chemicals in those to create chlorine gas and some napalm. It's not a matter of killing all the werewolves--rather, my goal would be to make is clear to them that there was no easy food available in that train and that they should go somewhere else.

Ah, this movie! Really liked it myself. Characters aren't total idiots (except for the ones who are), and it feeds into my personal favorite story decision: the monster isn't unkillable, there's just more of it than there are of you.

Actually it’s implied that this isn’t a transform only during a full moon type of werewolf curse/infection but rather a “once you turn, you’re forever the monster”.

I live in the UK. I am a northerner but was travelling back to uni when our train hit a sheep in the middle of nowhere. We were stranded for an hour until the train could be hauled back to the last town. Train was covered in blood. Scared the shit out of half of the passengers talking about this film. Was then stuck on a coach for four hours to get to my destination. Fun times. 😂 Forgot to mention I was travelling into Wales. About twenty miles in was where we hit the sheep.

I hate what happens in movies where you can get infected and turn into the very creature that's trying to kill you. One character suggests that you quarantine or even kill someone who is obviously infected. The the entire group will gang up on them and treat them like asshole. Everyone that let that old woman live deserved to die.

I’ve literally been stalked, harassed and other negative and painful crap and you still can’t convince me to scream. Yes, the werewolves would have found you anyways, but not as quickly if you weren’t screaming! Panicking is human nature for most, that bothers me less, but as a squeaker at most, being loud like that just feels disadvantageous Yelling is only self defense when people can save you.

I would love a horror movie where the group of survivors are smart, calm, competent people instead of lazy trope meat and blood bags. Why did the radio stop working? Why did the cell phone only have a few minutes' worth of service? That's not how cell service works. Why is everyone dumber than cows at a slaughterhouse? All they had to do was barricade themselves in with makeshift locks on the doors and fucking wait. It's not rocket surgery. Just sit there silently and fucking wait. Contrary to what Nerd says, someone WILL come along shortly, and had all communication not magically failed, they could have warned their rescuers that there is a pack of rabid bears outside. No one is going to believe warewolves are attacking, so think of the next best animal that could probably solo a warewolf and make sure the humans that come are equipped to deal with that. That way, they should be more than equipped to handle the warewolves. Even if your rescue party is torn to shreds due to not being prepared, they should have at least brought working transportation or additional communications. So just sit your ass down and at least wait until the second feast arrives to fill the bellies of the man--wolves. If you don't have any way of communicating, it's not exactly your fault for the arrival of under prepared rescuers. At most, the best you can do is warn them as soon as they arrive so they can leave and quickly return with the appropriate manpower and equipment. So.... sit your ass down, turn your brain off, and just wait. Don't do anything that might push another passenger to break the barrier and try to mitigate any situation that may lead to that as well. Your LAST option should be to repair the fuel line. No one knows how to operate a train, and going outside to fix it is just putting people in harms way before you're sure that's even a necessity.

Isn't there a version of this movie where the train conductor is in on it? He has a deal with the monsters that passengers are sacrificed once in a while so that they'll let the train pass through the rest of the time. I swear I've seen something like that before, but I can't put my finger on it

it's like i have told my nephews since they were toddlers, you can overcome any situation as long as you stay calm, think it through and never panic. we then start freaking out about something i will ask them "what's the number one rule?" and they will answer "never panic" then we come up with a solution.

It would actually take 2 hours to walk *at most* because you would have to be in between two stops. The most distance you can be between them is 6 miles equidistant. At 3 mph, that's 2 hours. Half the time, but is it worth the effort and risk to safety in the middle of the night even without the monsters? I don't think it is. Depending on how long it takes until we figure out there are literal werewolves outside, I would definitely say stay in the train and barricade in the safest compartment (too bad I don't know where that is on a train).

They could have survived if they'd just stayed on the train since help was coming. By leaving the train, all they did was draw attention to themselves.

Howl is honestly a very good Werewolf movie. I've watched it a few times and it's just made me want more. It might just be the cast being good (Though some hit and miss characters) but it does something new. Werewolves on a train. How awesome is that? xD If you are a werewolf fan, and are looking for more Werewolf movies to watch. Give Howl a watch. Late Phases is also a good one. If you can get past the werewolf designs.

As for the phones just send a SMS. They will be kept in an outbox so if any sort of a signal will show up even for a second it will be sens (SMS also uses far less data than voice, so probably would work with weaker signal). Put it even on a damn pole through a small opening in the roof or something as metal walls will reduce signal.

So functionally, atleast for the moment, the problem has now become YOUR problem. Avoid the hassle, embrace apathy. Whats the worst that could happen? Horrible death? Youve achieved permanent peace and now you get to be part of an urban legend. I say win win.

I liked this flick. It’s not An American Werewolf In London or The Howling, but it’s fun.

Imagine if there was like, a bullet train somewhere in Asia like Korea. And a bunch of people were trapped on that train during like, a zombie apocalypse. And like a zombie got on the train and started an outbreak on the train. Wouldn't that be just wild?

I think you got the walk time wrong, if the distance between stations is 12 miles, then they wouldn't have to walk 12 miles. If they had to walk 12 miles, then they would already be at the nex train stop. The maximum they'd have to walk would be 6 miles, which is the middle between two train stations. The train probably didn't stop perfectly in the middle, so they'd be closer to one or the other stop. So the time they would be walking would be less than 2 hours. In the end that doesnt matter since the werewolves would have killed them easily if they had tried to walk (even if it's 2h instead of 4h).
