What does it mean to be a marketing superhero? The world today is filled with contradictions that influence even the most unperceived aspects of our lives, and the key to turning the tables around is to find the right balance between opposites. Marketers, the business community and us all have the superpower to fix what’s broken through the powerful tool of harmony. Global CEO of Spring Studios, a marketing professor, leader of a team of more than 200 people, and co-author of a book with marketing guru Philip Kotler. He hosts two podcasts, one of which discusses the skills needed today to sit on the Board of Directors. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

"We need marketing to make sense of our own existence. But still there are certain things that need to be changed... So it is important to know how we can reconcile these contradictions. "If marketers are successful then they will help and inspire companies to make products that are good for the planet. Thereby marketing can inspire the next generation of products and MARKETERS CAN BECOME THE SUPERHEROES " -Giuseppe Stigliano Great speech Sir.

A great speech! “Armonia” is the KEYword to unlock our future that we (should) design everyday with our choices. We are human, we can fail but the biggest failure is closing the eyes in front of our responsibilities.

Great speech 🎤. Achieving harmony is crucial for promoting a sustainable way of life in a world of contradictions. When approached with care and balance, marketing can have positive outcomes. As the ancient Latins wisely proclaimed, "in medio stat virtus" - virtue stands in the middle.

Thank you for this amazing speech, ironically this is something that I have been thinking about and you put it in the best form. I’ve never really did marketing but I think I just found my passion. I stumbled across your video and those words were very inspiring and has put a vision in my mind. Thank you.

A very clear, useful and "ethical" speech. The Italian education system should show it in high schools.

People with no access to toilets are people with limited access to clean water and good hygiene overall. Starting the speech on that tone isn't the best move in my opinion

Saying there isn't enough toilets in the world isn't the best way to get people to think about marketing, unless you're selling toilets.

The title is very misleading. I saw nothing about marketing but one more activist with nice words but presenting no real solution. Sorry, dear but to say that marketing, which was designed for consumption, is the solution… it’s the same as companies saying that their sustainable products are the solutions for less waist whilst trying to convince you to consume more of their products. Also, if on your title you say that you’ll talk about marketing then deliver it!

He lost me at "we have more smartphones than toilets." Untrue, and thus I am skeptical because once again I am listening to someone distorting a fact for the sake of gaining your attention.
