Thank you so much for your content! This video & the one on the positions to open your pelvis was a birth changer for me! I just delivered a healthy, 7lb baby naturally, at home, at 44 weeks and 4 days. I soaked up so much information and practiced these techniques in the weeks that we patiently waited for our baby to come forth. Thank you and continue to educate families. We need it!

FTM here. Just gave birth yesterday. Had to come here to thank you for this video…!!! I had heard of different types of breathing but I had not understood it until I saw this video! I just saw it couple of weeks ago. After my birth center birth I was ecstatic when my midwife told me I had 0 tears!! All because of using these techniques. Thank you SO SO much.

So funny you are using bowl movements as example because this is exactly what I have been trying and wondering if this is similar. Thank you so much for this video, you have a way of explaining things that makes sense. I’m currently 36 weeks and trying those breathing and relaxation, I’m ready

It was wild. After laboring 16 hours at home (unsure when to go the hospital) My water broke like the movies!! All at once. Then my body started trying to push him out. Barely made to the hospital. And he was out in 3 pushes 🙌🏾❤️. I followed all your advice in the videos. In the dark, following the motions based on what stage I perceived he was in, the j breath…but they made me push on my back and I believe that caused me to tear 🥺 However I feel extremely empowered. I labored naturally like a pro and it was my first! You are the Queen of this birthing stuff ❤

Do breathing techniques help if you have back labor? With my son, the pain was all in my back and it seemed like about the only thing that helped was hands-and-knees positions and counterpressure. (My son was anterior and all--there was not a way to get the labor pains to change.) I had followed the Hypnobabies self-study religiously but could not use the tools effectively while dealing with the back pain and didn't have a lot else I could do for myself. Kind of seems like breathing might lessen belly pain but not so much back pain, but that's just me imagining things.

What’s the KEY to getting DEEP breaths in? I’ve done hypobirthing, spinning babies, all the things over the years and this will be my third birth, but only being able to inhale each time a little bit during my contractions is my struggle. Due again in April.

It’s all about practicing this in pregnancy and also learning how to keep your body relaxed so that you can take deep breaths in. Counting is helpful too.

Pregnant with my 4th daughter right now. Im always watching to see what i can do better. With my 3rd i thought i had it figured out but the pain numbs to the point where i cant think straight, and just want the baby out and im no longer thinking about whats happening. Ive never torn ever though. Help me Holy Ghost

When my son was crowning I said very quietly "ow, ow , ow , ow , ow " in the same way you panted. It was perfect, slowed things down and it was smooth sailing on the next contraction.
