Nice work. If i may ask, aren't they affected by the CO2 from the lamp?

We ensure the brooder is kept open throughout the day to avoid CO build up.

I like the video as it is very clear on how one should handle the chicks on the first especially because they are very delicate. However, towards the end of the video you recommend putting a lid on the brood BUT I'm afraid the lanterns are releasing a lot of CO2 and CO which may end up killing the chicks.

Peter, no suffocation happens. We have been covering our brooder every single time for the last 7 years and no chicks suffocate. That's because we use a special fuel in the lantern lamps and not your usual kerosene. That's what we discuss during our training days how to make this fuel for the lamps.
