I like how if you part this project out at a home center it is about $300 dollars for the non-renewable materials. Either I don't build it out of cedar or I have a picnic table that was more expensive than my indoor furniture.

This looks so easy but Im sure it is not lol....Either way im going to give it a shot with cheaper lumber as my big box store doesn't carry much of this type of wood in these dimensions.

Not very exact though, but maybe it's enough for a outdoor table? ......I would like to have this kind of table as my dining table. ....rugged and simple. .....but I would need higher quality lumber, and have it made with exact measurements.

These videos always separate boards with a 16 penny nail. My dad swears that this is unnecessary. I live in NY and have lived in Texas and in either place he claimed this is true. What do you guys think?
