It is National Preparedness Month so it is the perfect time to build a Get Home bag. In this video I will discuss the differences between a Bug Out Bag and Get home Bag and show you all of the contents of my current version as I actually assemble it. #bugoutbag #gethomebag #prepping #shtf

Hey Gary my husband was watching your channel and said something to the point of " this guy knows what he is talking about" check on all items. I told him that it was you who sent us those books that he really likes and he was like " now i know why i like him". 😂😂 ❤❤❤love you Gary my friend. Keep up the great work.

Where I live in Texas, I'm 50 miles from home almost every day. I carry more water, and I am prepared to sleep outside depending on the season. That being said, I agree with you. And there are some things that I need to do.

Thank and everyone’s situation is different. There are times that I have to be further so I just add a bug out bag. Water is definitely an issue due to bulk and weight so a well planned route with a way to purify is essential. I really appreciate you watching and commenting!

Great video! I'm setting my bag up "grey man" for lack of a better term. I live in the city and even on this side of the state, it's turning into Seattle and I hate it! Keep making content and I'll watch it!

New here and really liked this video! I've got a 30 mile hike home and mines set up for 48 hours of food and indefinite shelter, fire and water with a fishing kit. Like you there is no need for me to have a compass because I know several routes home and honestly I would get more lost using one but I'm trying to learn it.

well thought out, thanks for posting. subscribed I may have just missed them but I would make sure I would have a pitcock key for turning on the water at commercial buildings, Cash, if the power goes out you can buy gas or food etc. I think of my kits as levels level one is on me, level two is get home level 3 is 1 week. (72 hour kit) each builds on the ones before it. so I don't have duplicates.

I have a 13.5 mile walk home if an EMP hits i work 3 rd shift and work in a relatively safe suburban environment 20 miles away from the nearest dangerous city dwellers. My walk home is straight shot only thing to worry about is black Bear and coyotes. I have a small lightweight get home bag in the trunk a firearm, bivy tent,spare socks, shoes, fire kit, first aid, knife, flashlight,extra ammo etc

It sounds like you have designed your kit according to your situation. The good thing about these bags is you can have extra items but then take out what you don’t need if you have to travel on foot. I really appreciate you watching and commenting!

decent kit. on your medical get rid of that crap swat -T and that quick clot powder.. garbage. Cat-7 or better and combat gauze or Hemcon. Add a compression gauze like "NAR Compressed Gauze" Understand it is on the outside but put 1 in the kit too
@KYPrepper5
@KYPrepper5 10 ай бұрын
The swat t can be used with a gauze pad to make a pressure dressing or to splint a sprained ankle. I have a complete stop the bleed kit in my truck with two additional cat gen 7, compression bandages, wound packing gauze and chest seals. The kit is more for common injuries and ailments. I appreciate your suggestions and I really appreciate you watching and commenting!
