TODD I REALLY ENJOY WATCHING THE CHALLENGE AND FULL PROCESS OF TURNING A MESS INTO A FINISHED PRODUCT. KEEP 'EM COMING👍👍👍

It's a million miles better than what you started with Todd, great piece of work, you should be really proud of where you are now. You've built in resilience to try and stop the area flooding again and like you say, it's up to mother nature to play her part. Hopefully it won't be long before you can finish it off, with some stone. 👍🤗

Carolina Cat wants to sell you that roller. That's why they stopped by. Would make a good addition (lambsfoot & smooth rollers) if you were to make more roads.

ROUGH, I really like the fact that the Carolina CAT rep's came by the job site even though it was a rental Roller good PR goes a long way in the construction bizz in my opinion. Todd feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Rough!! Todd I’m fairly new to your channel, love the road building in the woods. Couldn’t help but think what a bonus to have rented a track dump to move that dirt, but the downside is a rental bill. Keep pumpin out the videos

I know how ROUGH!!! it is to work around Mother Nature and you can always plan around what the weatherman says. I would have fast forwarded past the grading part but I wanted to watch you work that tilt bucket. I am going to eventually purchase one for my excavator. Thanks for the videos… till the next one be safe.

Rough to gruff. Love how you work with such clear intent. Tilt bucket sure is nice for creating grades eh? Have to agree with you on Cat Machines, they are good. Can’t go wrong with Cat. It is hard to see in the video, but that culvert you put in today, why a culvert instead of a really wide swale? Do you need the berm there to prevent the creek from over flowing? Just curious.

Ok, I'm confused. It looked like you built your road of nice compact-able clay, then covered the lower part with topsoil. Just curious because I want to build some wide trails in my woods and have lots of clay available. I thought topsoil didn't drain as well as sloped clay. Thanks Todd.
@danielboisvert4765 Жыл бұрын
Same though. And I'm not sure but is he thinking not a gravel road but grass. The clay will eroad without something like stone(expected) or grass which I'm assuming at this point
@bp5558 Жыл бұрын
Shape drains better than permeable fill, sometimes. He's going to bring stone on top. The minimal amount of borrow he used just saved his customer on purchasing more fill. It may be a rough thought at first, but things will smooth out soon enough. From Topsail Beach, NC ....... Great work, Todd.
@shadowbanned69 Жыл бұрын
I've never seen a road pitched to one side like that with a 2 ft trench to slide off and get stuck. I guess this is road building in the Carolinas...this would never pass code in north east road work...but I don't think this is code work so....
@me4g862Ай бұрын
@@shadowbanned69 i had land not far from this area and that clay gets slippery as ice when it gets wet...i slid into the ditch twice with my skidsteer and pick up truck (2wd) and broke off a side-mirror against a tree on the truck......good that he layed down the fabric because without it, the gravel will quicky sink down into the clay and you are back where u started in a few months
