Everything looks great, I looked at a few of your trailer build videos. I'm actually been building one similar. I'm making mine with a ramp door in the back. So I can load a 4 wheeler or snowmobile. I wish I could up load pics of what I've done so far.

I've seen a video on a small teardrop being pulled by a bicycle: That made me wonder if a trailer in your choice be sized down safely to be pulled safely by a motor cycle of approximately a 1000 cc to as low as 750 cc. Harley make a street-able motor cycle that is rated at 750 cc. Of course output would need to be for at least half or 3/4 out put range of 750 cc, so as to not wear out motor cycles life.

Again what an impressive accomplishment. Question: why leaf spring axle, not TORSION axle. Why single axle, not dual axles?

👍🏼 You do what you think is right for you. I hear that you should not sacrifice on the towing attachment. Weight distribution is key to towing & safety. I’m sure you already know that. Maybe that is why your viewers are concerned about building materials, methods, etc… Just know that seeing you take on this task encourages other to do the same.

Your plans for this build is all on the spot engineering. But have seen a hand sketched blue- print of outside perimeters and can see the basic size of welded frame (because of my fortunate, welding experience) and understand your reason for 2 by 2 but understand usage in spots of 2 by 4s and of course the light weight stryo for heat and weight. I personally, only an opinion, think that your approached to the build is, in a fabulous way, minus: A very thought out blue print. Sometimes designers and/or drafters have good intentions: Although, get a dimension wrong and adjustments, by builder, is necessary to complete. It is sad, when this happens, because, in general its the builders fault for not completing on time, even if builder follows to the tee, drafters blueprint. It is great to see how you accomplished your build by solving outer deminision first, second live inside comfortably by have previous knowledge of outside survival techniques, which you incorporated into the sum design of "Eddie!" Seeing Scott, one of your friends, is cool. One other idea? To prevent theft of trailer, would an extension that is removable hitch to defend against possible theft. A hitch that slides into frame and is locked into place with locking strong pins, and using bolts seems like a safety pulling hazard.

Hey Scott thanks for the info. Having converted a cargo trailer I suspect you will need to upgrade the axle. It's surprising how heavy these things can get. We only have a couple of ins companies that will cover any type of rv in the US so that seems pretty typical. Love the build and have often thought about doing one myself but at 70 just doing the conversion was quite the project so I think I'll leave this to you young guys. Looking forward to your next video.

Great breakdown of everything good explaining where you're at at this time where it's been and where it's going pretty much and to say something you really didn't plan on building one from scratch Eddie was supposed to be just a project but he became so much more. When you're done you have to put the name Eddie on that trailer somewhere where everyone can see it keep up the good work my friend love watching the progress and your other stuff you had a great Canadian Thanksgiving can't wait for the next one 👍👍😃

I work at a company that builds aluminum truck bodies and we use stainless screws in all the aluminum panels, on the real old trucks that are 20+ years old you sometimes see a little corrosion around the screws but it's not bad.

Metal studs are a lot thinner than the steel you used for your trailer. It’s lighter and stronger than wood and it also gets screwed in. Just FYI. Great build.

It says ELECTRICAL contact. There is no electricity on the screws right? So don't worry! 👍😁
@FRUGALWITHJOHN

Wrong, the two metals create the electricity, it also needs water, but then again there is water in humidity. Galvanic corrosion does not occur when dissimilar metals are completely dry. Steel and aluminum is really bad, stainless steel and aluminum not so bad, the steel you put in your door may cause a problem. Nice build
