Maybe you’re not aware…. In the 7-pin there is a wire that can be used as +12vdc, which you can use to charge your camper batteries, as you drive. You have to check the output of the pin. Sometimes you have to add a fuse in the truck, to turn on that 12v wire. Sometimes a fuse and relay.

Hey Scott, I've been a subscriber for some time but have just got around to watch the build... great so far! As for wiring the camper, I'd hesitate to hook anything external to the camper without a circuit breaker... I'd install a single 20amp breaker and run it to an outlet. This way you could plug in what you want and when and have no worries of too much power causing a fire. You may want to travel and using a campground and with unknown power, could cause an issue. As for the 12 volt stuff, again I'd add a fuse box and run everything through it. You could still use your plug in ideas from there, with the addition of an converter, you could plug into the 110 outlet. Having a single deep cycle battery hooked up to the system with a battery charger, would allow multiple options to recharge and charge the system while also leaving a light on when you took the power station with you on your day trips. Keep on showing us your dreams, they're awesome.

I think that's a really elegant solution to take advantage of your existing power systems like that and to make it simple to switch between shore power or not. IMO the more simplicity and flexibility the better!

I would suggest running your lights off a 12 volt 15 amp male cigarette lighter plug. Splice on the wires for the lighting. You could did the same thing with the max air fans. Run them off separate power stations.

I wiould suggest low voltage lighting to save on power consumption. I would also suggest you resarch how trailers are wired. They have to meet a certain standard. This would help you avoid doing it twice or starting a fire. Looking good.

In theory solar is always looked at as a solution - there are several inherent problems with panels however. In the winter, the angle of sun and duration of sunlight is an issue. You also mention that in the summer, you will be in the shade to prevent the heat - more importantly, you will always have to angle the panels - they also have be tucked away when you are travelling. This will be an issue. I like your vehicle power solution. I watch a KZfaq channel called Forestry Forest - he debated the same things and the vehicle power was his best solution as well. My boy has got a 12 x 36 Cabin I wired it up with regular receptacles and he use the Jacorey to plug into a receptacle to charge the whole building and it works great

If you go to a 5k btu window a/c unit you will need to upgrade to a Bluetti 200Max. Then you will be set. I have the 200Max and also the Bluetti eb55 with a Bluetti briefcase solar panels. I’m set up with my squaredrop but want to do a build exactly one like yours so I can stand up in it
