Today's video is the second part of a mini series on How to build up your training. Tommie filmed and explained a full training with Quinten Begijnhoeve (Heros Begijnhoeve x Ferro). In this part he will explain how he continues the dressage training in the "working phase" after having done a proper warming up with Quinten Begijnhoeve. As always he shows you the good and the to be improved parts. Next week Tommie will tell you all about the last part of the training: the cooling down.
We hope you enjoy this video and hope it helps you in your dressage training. Will you let us know if you have any other questions or suggestions? ⭐️ Like to see more of these How to videos? hi thank you so much for these videos. I have been given so many instructions in training sessions and deciphered them my own way. Your explanations are so clear they made the penny drop. I now understand why I was being asked to do certain things. My connection with my horse has improved since I found you a week ago.... am so grateful .... and so is he :)

Hi Tommy and Rob have a beautiful horse that I bought from Joyce Lenerts a few years ago (Vivaldi x Ferro) but have struggled with his training at times. Here in Australia it is not always easy to be in regular contact with a knowledgeable trainer. I have started following your methods and my little Dutch boy is so happy as he recognises what I am asking. Super and many thanks

@@Begijnhoeve_official I dare asking a small question, 2 maybe :) 1. I can see you are using all the arena and I love this!! Are you doing/using many circles as well? I assume you cant video all, so maybe you do circles but we do not see them :). 2. When are you introducing lateral work? I did not see it in the warm up stage, nor here. Lateral, i could see here the shoulder in. Those videos are so precious really. I will modify a little bit my warm up following them!!! Thank you again so so much!!

Love seeing these working videos. Great info on getting the horse to move forward on their own. And I am continually impressed by your ability to ride so beautifully and provide insightful commentary - in a secondary language- at the same time.

Enjoyed watching. I always wonder how your horses are so good at the shows when they work at home on their own a lot in a quiet environment. What is the secret to them not being too spooky at the shows? ie the young horses.

Haha well in the beginning wel also have issues lol. But I think the state of mind from the rider is also being of influence 🤪 soon I have a series of video’s about this subject so check it out

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 as usual an amazing video! By the way, what is a typical timeframe of working phase? Is it depends only on the training level or varies from day to day per week? And how your training phase before competition looks like?
@Begijnhoeve_official
@Begijnhoeve_official 2 жыл бұрын
It totally depends of the horse. But in general towards a show most important is the first phase they have to be happy and relaxed 👌🏻

Geweldig informatieve video.
