The byproduct of condensed rubber and plastic smoke is similar to diesel fuel and motor oil and should be recycled in the same way.

Humm neat I just use high heat then tumble my wire with steel nuts and bolts in a large cilinder it comes out looking like bare Brite and always fetches top dollor 😁

I did a crud version of this before seeing the video, basically I made a Dutch over from a metal 5 gallon pail, with vent holes poked in top. I removed the caked on ash with a garden hose, then placed in a plastic bucket of dilute phosphoric acid. Came out brother than if I had just manually stripped. I like this better because of course with my vents the gas caught fire and made an awful cloud, but no actual fire touched the wire. Think of it as if you put it in your oven to bake. This guy's is slick becuase he is using the gas as his fuel, and that liquid he drains off, is that not what they use as diesel, and gas when they pyrolize plastic? Perhaps not because he is burning the gasses, though plastic would need to be vented, wether you used at source for fuel, or collected, it will come out, so I'm thinking that liquid he takes off could also have value. The 1st time I tried with no vents in the top, but had wood not wire in bucket, as charcoal is produced the same way, and blew the lid way off that bucket, and had the prettiest blue flame shooting out. Burned a lot of my charcoal up too. Learned it needs a vent

I burn mine in a burn barrel then dump water on it while it's still hot and spray it with a hose. It cleans it just fine for me

EPA officials are going to see this and send you a ticket and in USA you can’t sell burned wire to a recycling facility unless you have a certificate from the fire department that you had a house fire.
